WOW!! Thanks to everyone who responded!!

I feel like most here do, in that I am waaaay more moody when I'm hot, can't sleep well, like "manufactured" heat----like, I LOVE a fireplace. Also, like so many others, I'm not fond of really bright sunny days----I wear sunglasses ALL the time during the day, even when overcast 'cause "overcast" can even be oddly bright. I, too, sweat before anyone else, and take a really long time to cool-down. It's funny though, for most of my life I've had ice-cold feet and hands, but they don't make me cold. Now, pretty much, my hands are just "regular" temperture, and my feet are "cool", I would say, to the touch, but not ice-cold like they used to be.

One poster really got me thinking about it being a thyroid condition----or, something else physiological----I wanna look-into that. I've been asking doctors, forever, none of 'em know what it is. (I've also been trying to find-out what the correlation is between blood pressure and blood sugar, so anyone who can answer that, would be greatly appreciated.)

I hate the heat. A cloudy day in the 60's is perfect. It maybe due to genetics. My family comes from England and Wales. I'm have a very fair complexion and have blue eyes. I dislike the bright sun, I get headaches and my eyes hurt. I prefer the indoors almost all year long but especially in the Summer. The sound of the crickets and the locust hurt my ears. The birds can get to loud in the morning. I run from big birds like eagles, hawks and fowl like giant geese and ducks.

I seem to be quite sensitive to heat, hot weather literally drains every ounce of my energy if I am out in it too long and my out in it too long is much shorter than most peoples out in it too long. I get like physically sick from it like to the point of vomiting and feeling nauseous or even getting a bad headache....and from what I understand I tend towards having low blood pressure, which is kinda weird considering I have PTSD I'd think that would make it higher but I guess everyones effected differently.

I think I am evolutionarily adapted to cold, and I retain heat, and I easily overheat, as I don't sweat as easily as others.

Yeah, in my family that's just called being from Ireland.

Used to love heat and the summer but as I am older the heat (and cold) is harder to take.

My real sensitivity is to rain, it feels like little pellets hitting me, sounds kind of that way also. Unless it's an all out blizzard Snow down't bother that. You can brush it off. Cold rain chills me more then snow. Nothing worse then heavy wet cold clothes

Yes, you can´t guard yourself against humidity. It takes a lot of energy to heat up water.

I absolutely hate the heat and I hate feeling hot and sweaty. It takes a long time to cool down, and when it's really hot I don't really. This summer I was rather miserable in July, the heat never seemed to end. Only this weekend have I been able to eat hot food again. I don't know how anyone can enjoy full dinner in summer! Heat is for non-warm food like sandwiches etc.
I can also feel something is too hot to touch while others can touch it. Baguettes right out of the oven is a good example.

I tend to like it a little colder than others do, but I hate being cold too. I used to get cold very rarely, but as I've grown older I have started to feel cold a bit more. Right now it's cold outside and it's a bit chilly inside and I feel a little cold on my arms and hands and I most certainly don't like that either. Time for warmer clothes!

I do emit a lot of heat too. An example: Some years ago we used to buy a kebab and eat it in the car. My mother sat in the driver's seat and ate and there was nothing on the windows around her. I sat in the back seat and ate, and the windows beside and behind me fogged up so much they had to be wiped dry before we left. I'm not exaggerating.

You can get use to anything, I've lived in the extremes both ways. Here in the desert it is over 100F all summer can get up to 120F, it takes a while to adjust but it isn't anymore oppressive super humid upper 80s/90 degree temperatures in the summer back where I grew up. People always talk about the dry heat jokingly but I find it true. Extreme cold I can't say I am a fan of and snow/ice are the worst, I don't not miss them. A dusting is cute but when you have to spend all day to shovel out your driveway, it sucks period. The coldness doesn't bother me as much(in reason obviously, blowing icy wind sucks) since it is just a matter of dressing for the weather and the nice thing about a cooler climate is you have whole other array of clothing that you pretty much can't wear here very often. Heat you can't really get away from but the sun just seems so much brighter and hotter here, staying out of it and just limiting your movements in and out of it and it isn't so bad. The sun honestly bothers me more than anything here, it is so so bright.

Be really careful, Sweetleaf!! I feel for ya 'cause I also have really low blood pressure (it averages around 90 over 60). When one gets hot, their blood pressure drops, and since mine has no where to go, I FAINT!! The symptoms you describe sound, very MUCH, like "heat stroke"; since you have low blood pressure, you may be more apt to that, because of what I said, before.

I don't know what it is that has caused me to be so hot all-of-my-life----I'm VERY hot, first thing in the morning, and the very last thing, before I go to sleep, at night, I have the air conditioner on, about 9 or 10 months a year (including Thanksgiving and Christmas, because I'm cookin'-up, a storm)----but, I sure wish I could find-out.

I hate the extreme humidity that often goes along with the heat because it makes my skin feel icky. I think I might like a dry heat though, if I ever meet one.

I absolutely hate being hot. I love winter where I can snuggle under blankets.

I love the winter if we don't get any snow at all, just wind, rain and mild temperatures. I know that offends people who live in places where their houses get flooded, but....um....my deepest sympathies for those people. I still love the rain. I just wish it didn't get dark so early in the winter. That is depressing.

I don't mind the heat very much. I'm not very sensitive to temperature extremes, hot or cold, but I REALLY don't like "ugly" weather no matter what the temperature is. If the barometric pressure drops and the clouds come in, I get cranky.
