In my opinion, most people within WrongPlanet believe in the inclusive nature of the Website.
Those who want to exclude those who are not "officially" diagnosed are in a distinct minority
Where have they started a thread to demand exclusion of people not diagnosed? Where have they explicitedly said it?
You know I was against the whole "self diagnosis" is wrong idea for the very same reasons I am against this.
It's asinine to talk about inclusion when looking to exclude someone whether it's a minority or not. It's hypocritical to describe yourself as a victim, when you are in fact deciding to gang up on that minority. In reality, because that is what this is, you learn to get along or you go your separate ways. You don't seek to make someone feel bad or try to intimidate them into being nice to you.
Inclusion doesn't happen automatically or at the wave of a keystroke, it happens by actions. So what if they don't want to play with you, there are others who do. My god, worse than children fighting over one red ball when there are 15 red balls.
Just for the record, I can't believe I have to explain this to a therapist and a psychologist. You both should know better, if it was a teenager I could get it, but you two should be ashamed.
kraftiekortie isn't saying that certain people need to be excluded. Anyone is welcome, as long as they follow the rules. There's a reason why there is a "WrongPlanet Rules" thread, so that it is clear what is and isn't acceptable. It isn't acceptable to personally attack or exclude people from the site because they are self-diagnosed. However, this has never been stated officially in the way that the WrongPlanet rules are.
I think he is suggesting that a similar thread to the rules thread should be made, which states that anyone is welcome regardless of their status as self-diagnosed, professionally diagnosed, undiagnosed etc. just so this fact is clear.
