Its getting on to winter here and already people are whinging about the cold, I prefer the colder weather as I hate the heat. but they won't let you enjoy the colder weather and they don't like it if you whinge when its stinking hot.

I prefer the cold above the heat, but I do like sunny days until it gets over 25 degrees Celcius. Then it will be too hot.

Only extreme cold can be a problem (colder than say -15 degrees Celcius), but in the Netherlands these temperatures are very rare. I have a very thick jacket that protects me very well against the cold.

I can't stand the heat or the cold which is why I will not work outside jobs. I also will not work out in the heat and will do it when it's still cool. I used to get hot way too easily and start sweating because of hormone issues so I was always in the basement and in the fall or winter, I would have the window open to stay comfortable. Then that issue ended when I was 15 when I lost weight and then I was cold easily than everyone else. I would pick cold over hot.

About losing weight: The last several months (since November 2014) I am losing weight. I once was 92 kg (kilogrammes), now I am about 82. I get cold sooner than I once did.

Now, it is the end of May, but it is colder than usual (exactly a year ago, also at the end of May it was even very hot; I didn't need any jacket). In the morning it is about 5 degrees. The winter jacket is okay, but the summer jacket is too cold. In the afternoon and early evening it is about 18 degrees. The winter jacket is too warm, but the summer jacket is okay. It is tough to decide which of the two jackets to pick.

I live in south Louisiana till I moved in with my girlfriend at 28. I hated the high heat & humidity we had for about half the year & my parents didn't let me lower the AC below 77 & 78 at night which was too hot for me. I live in Vermont now & the summers aren't bad & we have our own AC window unit so I can keep it cooler inside but I hate being outside during winter because it gets really cold. I guess I hate heat & cold.

I feel best when the temperature around me is between 65 and 70 degrees. I had heat stroke when I was in the army and since then I sweat buckets when it gets hotter than 70. and even if I am bundled up, if it is below 40F I eventually freeze up, from inhaling cold air. I am best indoors.

That's too hot for me too.
I'm ok between 70* and 73*F.
In humid air it shifts down a degree or two. In dry air it shifts up by 5 to 6 degrees.
The problem is that here in Illinois the air is only really dry in January and February when it's 20*F out.

I overheat real easily and end up getting cranky, especially in my own home. I have the AC on constantly in the summer, trying to keep my house down to about 68F/20C. Any hotter inside and I can't sleep, because I need a cool bedroom and I need my blankets. I cannot sleep without a blanket on, as I like the feeling of the weight on me, and for some reason, deep in the very back, animal part of my brain, I feel I will get attacked if I am not safely covered by a blanket. Preferably these blankets are tightly tucked in at the end and sides of the bed, but lately I have had to suck it up and deal with messy, loose, twisted blankets because my husband doesn't know how to sleep nicely and it drives me nuts. I used to open my window in the winter (my dad would get mad because I was wasting energy) while I slept so I could pile on tons of blankets -- the more weight on me, the better. The cold air feels nice against my face while my body is just the right amount of toasty without getting sweaty. I hate sweating.

For me, the best temperature is 18C(65F) to 23C(74F).

Why were you working construction at the age of five?!? 8O

Parents kept me out of school because of my differences and took me to work with them lol.
I didn't do really difficult work, mostly sweeping and picking up the occasional piece of trash; one of my most vivid memories from five is seeing ant-lion nests for the first time

I HATE the heat, especially in NY because it's so freakin' humid. It makes me feel like I can't breath and gives me a headache, and really bad anxiety. I don't even take hot showers because I feel like I'm suffocating.

I have almost no tolerance for hot climates and I live in FL of all places.

I overheat very easily, even my doctor has seen it in action ( in FL its easy..just step outside the AC and watch me spontaneously combust under the sun). It saps all my energy, almost like if I had been running for an hour. Even my decision making gets knocked out, its very hard to focus. On the other hand, I thrive in cold climates. I can do heavy physical labor for long hours without stopping and not feel it. I love the cold.

... just can't seem to get a nice paying job somewhere cold so I can move there. :(

I hate cold, it makes me chill and my immune system sucks so I get flu and cold during all winter and spring whilst others have it for only a week. Heat isn't personally a problem. I love the sensation of my dark blue hoodie heating my skin during summer.

Yes. I have Raynauds, which manifested in early 20's. My fingers and toes turn blue and white with exposure to
cold, and the cold does not have to be really cold, either! Even temps in 50's will trigger it. As I have aged, I find
that I cannot tolerate heat; of course, this is common as we age. I moved to San Diego County in 2013 largely in
search of a mild climate without extremes. So far, I have had Raynauds attacks only twice. You are right, though,
nothing much helps. I used to wear shoes made in Canada, wool and angora sox, long johns. In summer, I wear
as little as possible, mostly gauze and linen. It's a pain, that's for sure. Never being comfortable. Worse is air
conditioning, you wear comfortable clothes, then go into a theatre or restaurant and it's freezing. Some work
situations are also close to unbearable. Even buses and Amtrak over chill, why, I do not know.
