I've noticed sometimes though that after a bit of time, it actually resurfaces for some reason.

I can remember short term things and anything related to my ex abusing me or my parents thinking that I was a total failure at trying to teach children but long term stuff is quite fuzzy to me. I can't even remember the first time I tried to learn how to ride a bicycle. It's been so long and I don't even want to try again anymore.

Dinner last week !? I can't recall what I had for dinner yesterday ! !!

Likewise I can't remember any of the names of our neighbours ( close knit community in a small cul de sac) .

Yet I'm able to recall the names of 100's of snakes and everything about them I also remember which foot every footballer I've ever seen - kicks with .... Weird and a tad annoying .

I think I have a really good long-term memory, but my short term is bad.

My short term memory is atrocious and my long term memory isn't much better. For the most part, my mind is a complete haze. It's akin to smoking too much marijuana - but without the resulting hallucinations.

I hate my brain.

Same. Sometimes I'll be doing something and forget what I'm doing halfway through.

This is why I hate papers..
because I forget it all before I can write it down!
