I too dislike the puzzle logo, maybe simply because the colors don't harmonize. I like the rainbow moebius strip better. I think that a white ribbon would look good, though. White for candidness. Obviously, ribbons are used everywhere to signal many things, and white ribbons have been already used (for stopping violence against women, for peace, even for alzheimer), but we could take it over.

Maybe a white Escher staircase, but the steps are all different colours?

Oh yeah. Good point. I wish we could though. Some people do I guess, but not me.

kbabz (and others): i think that something multicolored is not so good an idea. a good logo should be able to read in a one color screenprint. if it needs to rely on a multitude of different colors to get the message across, its more illustrative than symbolic.

as for the difference slogans: why not use the oldfashioned "same planet - different world"?

I like that slogan pretty well. It kind of sets us apart, yet could invite friendly inquiry, to which we can reply however we feel like at the time. I certainly feel like an alien here! On the planet, I mean - I feel totally at home at WP.

Star...that is just....I'm speechless.

And making me speechless is no mean feat, I assure you.

Breathtaking.

Hi fellow Trekkie *wink*

Thanks for your comment!

There is another version of the same idea... (see below)

I like your first idea way better. To me, the second suggests we don't actually need to close the gap since nothing would happen.

If you really want some stuff in the gap how about a space background for it. Y'know as in...we need oxygen and each other.
