I'm well aware of what 'civic' nationalism implies, and wouldn't confuse it with malignant 'right wing' varieties.

I don't think any clever use of language or other sleight of hand can disguise the fact that the goodies I referred to are largely subsidized by other UK taxpayers, and I think you'd struggle to afford them as an independent nation.

Scotland pays more than it's fair share.

As you will find out very quickly when we dissolve the union.

Also, read up on the prescription charges, very interesting.

It's difficult to let go of the manic union jack waving and the belief that England is superior to it's partners in this union.
I was a Labour supporter until New Labour (tory-lite), I will never vote for them again because I stopped listening and started reading and checking, the UK is over, the Empire was over decades ago.

England is screaming at the tide and voting UKIP, we are offski.

UKIP has almost certainly peaked - can anyone take Nuttall seriously as a prospective PM or even as a party leader? Agree with you about New Labour btw, but don't think the SNP is the answer....

The SNP are an actual party though, they provide better opposition at WM than Labour, they work very hard for the communities who elect them.

UKIP are just rich tories behind the scenes, a useful tool to damage the Labour vote, a spoiler party that is nothing more than a front for racists.
England is being played and it sickens people, half the members of my local SNP were born in England and they are angry.

The media is almost completely lined up against the SNP, yet we are growing stronger every day.

UKIP saturate the media yet have peaked.

The SNP fight for the rights of everyone living in Scotland, judge them by how they treat foreign workers here and the weakest not by what the billionaire owned press spew about Scotland.
We are a useful outlet for hatred, blame the Scots for everything, or immigrants, or the Welsh, no it's the benefit scroungers.

Alba gu bràth.

We have room if you want to join us.

Enjoy post-brexit low wages, no rights and being ruled by posh idiots who sell off your NHS.

Thatcher was an evil witch, laid the foundation for what was to come.

Tories have 1 MP in Scotland, you have no mandate.

Ironically, the Tories are likely to gain a few seats in Scotland in this election. They don't deserve to but they look set to take 5-6 seats from the SNP. At least UKIP won't be a factor this time in the results UK wide.

England voted only 1 UKIP MP into the HoC last election, and he has since quit.

Yep. And they won't be winning any seats in this election either. UKIP are done. They've got what they wanted. They no longer have any relevance.

i would never want to live in the UK.

it is so boring and dismal.

i have seen many shows like house improvement shows and a show called "time team" from the UK. it is always overcast or at least somewhat dismal in its climate.

every show is on a cloudy misty day.

the beaches there (although i do not go to beaches myself) are dirty looking sand patches with out of date attractions and stuff.
the water looks green instead of blue and there are no waves of any significance unless they are storm waves.

you have old toothless people living in squalor and poverty and agony in the housing projects, and you can not reach them through governmental interception because the population is so big and crushed into such a small area.

i measured the urban boundaries of london in google earth and compared them with sydney's urban boundaries.

sydney with 5 million people occupies more than 30 times the area of london, and so there is no crushing in of people which promotes cold shouldering.

london is old and filthy looking to me.
one wonders what would be revealed under the floor boards of a house built in the 1500's.

so much grime and history mixed in together.

i also inspected the back and front yards of all the richest areas to see how big they were and if they contained swimming pools.

very few contain pools and they are all just precious tiny slices of land, and my backyard is bigger than most i see in even english mansions, but of course not as big as the estates of nobles.

but i am considering buying a 4000 acre parcel of land with 2 houses on it with beautiful views for the price of a 2 bedroom flat in london.

i have no desire to live in the UK

We are in northern Europe where there is a cold climate. Why on earth would people have swimming pools in their gardens??

Mild and dull is perfect, I'd hate it to be constantly hot and sunny, so I'm glad it's usually overcast.

Love the seasonal changes here. Right now in spring is probably my favourite time of the year. Flowers and trees have come out in bloom over the last couple of weeks and it really transforms the look of the countryside.

looks out the window
Sunny, no clouds, 16c, no wind. Beeeeeautiful 8)

It's Scot actually.

Scotland cannot be in debt, if you actually educated yourself you'd understand why.
Did you know that the UK actually uses the Scottish pound.
We'll just peg ours on the UK pound initially and make our own way from there.

Unionists have no positive case for this sham to continue.

They scream about currency when it's a red herring.
Also, the Scottish pound is already used in some ways, currency is pretty simple to sort out.
Especially easy when your nation has lots of things to trade, as Scotland does.

This is why you have a bunch of toffs and idiots running England (tories), you just repeat the utter guff you read in your papers(investigate who owns all your newspapers) and refuse to educate yourselves.

Here is a starting point.

Why do all the UK media hate the SNP?
They are a well run left of centre party, why are they painted as extremists and dangerous?
Who is in danger from them?

Or keep reading the sun, express, telegraph and wonder why you have no clue as to the reasons why the UK is already a relic of the past.

Are you for real?

ok ill bite

I link a independent and a bbc link and then you claim am a "sun, express, telegraph" reader

"Scotland cannot be in debt"

Well no it can not, but its in the uk, and its uk debt. If Scotland leaves, it will have to take its share of said debt (which is around 150b).
And i have already linked that Scotland spends 15b a year more then it makes.

"Did you know that the UK actually uses the Scottish pound"
Yes we use the pound which is the currency of the uk.

"We'll just peg ours on the UK pound initially and make our own way from there."
If we let you, which is doubtful.

"Especially easy when your nation has lots of things to trade, as Scotland does"
You do not trade nearly enough to cover the cost of running scotland.

"They are a well run left of centre party, why are they painted as extremists and dangerous?"
Because they running Scotland into the ground. Which i allready posted a link about.

"Or keep reading the sun, express, telegraph and wonder why you have no clue as to the reasons why the UK is already a relic of the past" You seem to know me better then I do becouse i do not read them papers, well I thought I did not.

I would not mind to have to live in the UK at all. The only thing bad about the UK I can think of right now is that they drive on the wrong side of the road. :P

I think the middle east might have more job openings than the never-ending uncertainty of living in the UK
