Also, I tend to get ahead of myself. I have a fiance, and I have accused him of being a narcissist for almost a whole year before realizing that I shouldn't put these awful lables on people....I should have known better than to accuse you of being something you're not when I literally judged you off of one thing you said right off the bat. I like to organize humans in my head, so I like to diagnose them and lable them. but i hate it when others do that to me, and I bet you hate it when it's done to you!

You can't really get to know a person through merely reading his/her words for a few minutes.

Also, guys always think I'm flirting when I'm not meaning to. I suppose that's just how I am. It disturbs my fiance very much with how open I am to others online. I don't ever go on forums for this reason. But i decided to go out on a limb because I'm still kinda lost in the world, and I don't have any outlets to let out my frustration about things like WIRES!

Nothing special. Just working. Then I'm going home to watch YouTube. My wife is a nurse.

i watch youtube a lot, as well...my fiance is a behavioral therapist for kids with autism! neat, huh? and no, he did not diagnose me, and yes, he sometimes slips some ABA my way, but now that I know it's to help me and not to demean me, I appreciate it. so yeah, he is, indeed, a great guy. okay that sounds weird, but don't jump to conclusions like myself, right?

what are your favorite youtube channels/types of videos you like to watch?

I like watching old ballgames.

betty, I'm glad you got this ironed out. To the extent that most of us here are aspies/autistic, we have all made some pretty serious social gaffes!

thanks, bea. i feel welcome already. i am also the kind of person that just kinda welcomes themselves, though...just to clear any confusion, I came to the conclusion that Kraftie was a troll because I am a girl who gets baited very easily, and I am always on guard.
since i was posting at an odd hour...it was about 3 or 4 am, i am too lazy to go check now...and someone was so quick to respond, i had imagined that there was someone lurking, waiting to bait the new girl into their evil trap. this is just how i am, i apologize. i feel like everyone's out to get me and no one has good intentions. and it's not projection, it's called being paranoid. i know the difference. you can be paranoid about something that you don't have any intention of doing, but if you simply think that it could exist in a dimension then it could happen in this dimension, are you feeling me? (I hope so!) And I also pulled an all nighter and had too much cough syrup last night, and I apologize again to anyone who I may have offended because I certainly don't ever mean to offend anyone, ever! Well, sometimes I do, actually, who am I kidding?

the moral of the story is, don't drink cough syrup and start a new thread on a new forum when you already have trouble with being the black sheep of every single social gathering, whether it be virtual or not

and yes, i realize i'm babbling, but i am really new to this autism stuff. judge me how you wish. i have been struggling to label myself for a long time, and I had narrowed it down to borderline personality disorder, schitzotypal personality disorder, and Asperger's. i don't know the correct terminology and the acronyms for everything, so yeah. and now i feel like an extra big a**hole because I just diagnosed myself recently (I have a story, though, and it all adds up and makes sense, and I don't need to justify my autism! what am I saying?!) and here I was accusing someone of not being autistic on the forum that I just invited myself into...I am a whole mess of wires in my brain, what can I say?

Paranoia is a tendency found among some of us on the Asperger spectrum. I get it occasionally but more during an emotional storm or meltdown when I'm all angry about something. Those brief but tempestuous storms don't usually last long.

Communication and understanding go a long way. It's not true that we lack empathy, the majority of us have more than most NTs I'd say.

I had some ferrets once as pets. They are cute especially if they are dancing if they are full of joy of life. They require a good treatment and nice contact to humans from the first days. But they smell a bit intensive. Wished I could have a stone marten once as pet too.

If you hate a tangled mess of wires, try working on a vintage Zenith television set from the 1960s, no circuit boards, everything is handwired. Makes servicing w/o a schematic a bit difficult, but they don't have the issue of cracked circuit boards.

Hopefully in due time battery technology will be sufficient that most needs can be met without a tie the the household supply and most signals will be transmitted by RF.
