The fuss is over being told you have to go to jury duty even if it impacts your paycheck, your job, your schoolwork, your family life and even if it costs you hundreds of dollars in gas money & tires to commute long distances you still are required by law to go or else you can be put in jail.

Once you get there they control when you are allowed to go to bathroom, when you eat, when you can drink, when you are allowed to sit down and stand up. If you are sequestered they control where you sleep and do not allow you to communicate with anyone even to make a phonecall. And in the US your purse and pockets get searched before jury duty ever since 9-11 happened. So you are forced into jury duty then are treated like the criminal.

And in my case when I went through jury questioning both lawyers, the judge and several other jury members all made fun of me because of my impaired social skills. So yeah makes me want to go through that again- NOT!
