Do you have an embarrasing obsession?

I love Sega. I'm crazy there consoles from the 80s and 90s.

I have an obsession with the Animaniacs, which I'm personally not embarassed about, but I try to keep it to myself because nobody seems to understand the show.

When I've told people about it, they've usually always responded with "but it's a cartoon!!". I later learnt to respond with "So is Family Guy and Southpark" but then they just say "but Animaniacs is a KIDDIES show". Yeah, it is, but since when does that mean it can't be enjoyed by adults? In fact, a big part of the Animaniacs' fan base were adults.

No matter how hard I try, though, I just can't seem to get through to people why I find it so clever and funny. All they see is Yakko, Wakko and Dot "acting stupid", without taking into considering the skill and effort gone into writing the script or song, and without considering that the joke might have just gone flying over their head, like I've seen happen a few times

It frustrates me that people can be so narrowminded to think that a "kids" show can't be funny and clever at the same time as being a "kiddies" show.

Animaniacs is severely underestimated (sorry for the mini rant )

I collect siamese cat stuff - not that weird. I'm obsessed with the show House, which is not embarrassing compared to my early obsession, which was The Nanny, which most people consider a godawful show.

I used to have an embarrassing obsession...not so much embarrassing but more "unusual" and creepy according to others, which was serial killers. Not the actual person, but the different methods that they used and how they got rid of the boddies etc. I would have to be careful not to go off on a tangent as others already suspected that I killed people (that wasn't true but just a stupid high school rumour).

I do have an embarrassing obsession now but I am not going to post it as it is very "abnormal" in everyway

I am still addicted to video-games. I'm 28 and a homosexual. That is sort of hard to manage when you take a guy home, and you want to play wii with him. HE HE!! ! (a pun really) Nintendo has destroyed many of my relations.

My obsession is leather clothin because it is soft, shiny n looks gr8 on ladies i only keep it to myself as i will feel very embarrassed to tell my parents about this obsession of mine.

Ulster Unionism, the flute bands, the loyal orders and the culture of Northern Ireland. Also, Britishness more generally and Britain's remaining colonies.

I had a very similar obsession myself. I used to be obsessed with true crime shows, American Justice, Cold Case Files, ect... I think my primary interest has been psychology for several years. I change what facet of psychology that I like every so often. For awhile it was BTK (the serial killer). I also study all the different personality disorders, and other sociopathic disorders. It can be a little embarrassing when you realize that you've gone on about some sociopathic behavior when someone else was just making light conversation. I'm pretty sure that I have creeped out many with my fixations.
