I enjoy my friends' company (to a point - I need to be on my own to recover [I think of it as a social hangover]) but this exactly the way I feel about relationships. As my father often says its like a dog chasing a motorbike: he chases it but wouldn't know what to do with it if he caught one.

You made me laugh! "An Asperger seeking friends is like a dog chasing motorcycles, if they caught one they wouldn't know what to do with it."

Hmmm... My friends come and go, are made quickly and last, or don't. Not sure, never really thought about it. ^_^

I only have a few real life friends. My best friend has AS also, so we get along quite well. I do want friends, but I just can't talk to people. I wish I could communicate.

I seem to do better communicating on the internet, than in real life.

Sometimes I want friends but most of the times I don't. Friendship is hard. I'd rather have aquanantces (sp) or a travel partner when i ever go somewhere or just someone to hang out with when I go out. Luckily I have my boyfriend.
