This is probably due to your clumsiness (you being an aspie probably makes you clumsy I presume). I have strange ways of doing things which probably create this illusion that I look like I have autism. For example:

. When I play basketball people always note that I shoot the ball in a funny way
. People have noted that I walk funny
. I have a strange smile (according to some people)
. My posture never looks right in pictures (it always looks like I'm bending too much forward like a hunchback)

I could list so many other things but I don't think it's necessary.

As far as I know, studies have proven that autistic people shouldn't look any different from "normal" people. But I'm guessing that most autistics create this illusion that they look different physically due to their clumsiness/awkwardness which they display in public.

Autism [as in classic autism] definitely has a 'look' but it's not really about a physical look [like with downs, williams or FASD],
am have often been stopped by strangers and asked if am autistic [they dont ask am this, they ask around am-to staff or family],makaton signing is a giveaway sign to those who know autism [especially those who work with autistics] as am have been approached when communicating with it,but some strangers also assume am deaf and start shouting through ear defenders because they cant tell the difference between BSL and makaton [theyre completely different].

the look of both autism and as exist but both probably depend a lot by being noticed by people who understand what autism and as are, otherwise they can look like other things, such as mental illness or retardation.

What is an aspie posture supposed to look like?

I don't know exactly, I just read that, being slightly clumsier, and unsure of ourselves, we hold ourselves differently. I know personally a few things that are wrong with my posture, but I'm sure everyone is different.

Okay. As for me, I have a tendency to have kind of a slightly bowed back (or how I am going to explain it), but I don't know if it's an aspie thing. It might be? Or just a bad habit?
When I try to make the back more straight (or how you say it), it makes me tired after a while, but that may just be a question of habit.

I've had people tell me this... I don't know why.

All of the pictures/videos I've seen of ASDs show 'vacant' eyes, 'neutral' face (almost sad look to the face) and tend to have mouths partially open.

I am not convinced that we have a look.

The only way I could tell if someone is an Aspie or not just by looking at them is if they have a tattoo on their foreheads that say "Aspie".
