Sometimes people think stuff is 'obvious' and don't say it, so I don't get it.

I sometimes don't know if people are being friendly or making fun of me (MissPickwickian called it Subtle ridicule)

Many people have mentioned flirting. I don't think I 'get' flirting, either.

I don't say when I'm leaving a conversation. This is because I think the conversation's finished so I can go and do something else.

I'm not sure I know how to enter a conversation. Are you allowed to do that?

Paperplate, I have the same problem with sarcasm and too much information.

Kajjie, could you give an example of "the obvious"?

I don’t think my biggest problem is reading cues. It’s something else. I’m much slower than everyone else at processing verbal information. I have trouble focusing on people when they talk as I’m always zoning out.

I don't seem to have too much trouble with one-on-one conversations when there is a topic of discussion. However if there is no topic and the onus is on me to come up with something I’m screwed.

I’m also screwed once a third person enters the conversation. I can’t pay attention to more than one person at a time so I will often just kind of zone out and stare away. Then I never know how to come back in.

I'm PDD-NOS not AS. I don’t really know what it is exactly that’s wrong with me. I definitely don’t fit the stereotypical AS or HFA mold.

When to jump in on a conversation. I'll be with a large group of people and they all cluster into smaller groups to talk, I don't know which group to join or how to join in very well, so I end up sitting by myself in the corner. Does this sound Aspie?

This sounds like me.

I too have problems with accidentally interrupting people. I also have problems with "getting a word in edgewise". Often in a conversation I'll have something to say but I don't know when it's my turn to speak, and by the time I can say something the subject has changed.
