? uh.. why?

In any case, I'd personally go back about 2 years, and say "Do chemistry instead of Physics and geography instead of Psychology..."

Tell myself to quit sleeping in school and to never attempt learning any languages or taking Chemistry. And to make up that da*n exam I missed freshmen year so I don't have to take the class over three years later. Oh! And ask to take stupid Geometry, because I'm stupid at Geometry.

Aha! POST 3000!! !:D:D:D

Its something i definately have been thinking alot about lately. I think if my childself saw me now she'd prolly hate me. I come such along way from spending all my time by my self in imaginary worlds, playing by my own rules and ignoring society. I think my youngerself would be very ashamed to see how ive grown. When i was younger i used to despise NTs. As much as i still enjoy indulging in my obsessions and living in my fantasy worlds ive learned to enjoy interacting with society as well, NT or not. Now i would say that i have accomplished a great deal, then i would have seen myself as giving up :-/.

I do not think meeting my past self would make any difference. My parents had an iron grip on every aspect of my life when I was a kid so I had little control over anything. I doubt knowing then what I know now would change much. Knowing the arrogance of my parents, they would never listen to anyone else and do what they want anyway, just to show who is boss.

I would go back and console my 13-year old self that life gets better as you age on the whole even if at times it seems like it's getting worse (13 seems to be the low point in most people's lives) and I would also tell myself to stand up for myself (himself?) more often.

Oh, and I'd make myself music recommendations, sometimes I'm appalled at how bad my music tastes were in middle school.

Meeting my younger self wouldn't do much for me IMO. What I'd really wanna do though is meet either my older self or someone who's just incredibly like me and 20 years a head - I'd love to have a mentor right now...

I would always fantisize about going back in time and being my own guardian angel.

If I had to be specific...

When I was three so I could offer to baby sit myself so I would not have to endure the train whistles every wedensday night at the garden center my parents took me to which was right next to the railroad tracks.

When I was seven so I could baby sit myself so I didn't have to endure a summer of torture and bullying by the older kids at the YMCA.

When I was eleven so I could keep myself from ignoring one of the few friends I had as a child.

I'd visit myself, somewhere between the ages 12 and 16, and tell myself that a Cockney Accent is nothing to be ashamed of, and to get a grip, because a lot of people would love to sound like they're from the British Capital. I also would have told myself that it was okay to wear Bell Bottoms to Highschool, between 1988 and 1992, the way that they are intended to be worn, and not tight-rolled like everybody else wore them.

I'd also like to tell my 17 Year Old self to get my mind out of the Gutter and back into London and get a Summer Job, so that I wouldn't end going to a Specialized Work Experience Programme, as a result of my Dad's embarassment about my Hippie Lifestyle.

If there was an opportunity for me to meet my younger self, it'd be squandered because some other people would steal the time machine before I got a chance to use it. That's just the way it is.
