do you have a flat expression or are you over expressive?

I do posses a natural flat expression. It seems everyone in my family comments or shows distaste with my natural (flat) expression. They tell me to look happy or to smile. A kind of funny thing, though; It has only been within the last year that I have actually learned how to smile.

I think I posted a picture of my face in the picture thread if anyone wants to take a look.

Generally flat.

I rarely smile, except at work where it is a requirement, and when I do it is obvious it is "unnatural". I was having a conversation with a customer today, and was trying (probably too hard) to seem friendly. My coworker started cracking up and said how nervous I looked while smiling. I wasn't nervous, just incredibly uncomfortable. My natural smile is a barely noticable smirk (even when I find something hilarious, the smirk is the most I do).

The rest of the time my face is generally flat except for the occasional quizzical look which is my first response to most things.

Throughout my life i've been known for my flat expression.. If someone did something really funny then i might laugh, and i've seen a few pics of me as a kid smiling for the camera.. But most of the time my face was pretty flat. I still have a flat face most of the time, but through the years i've started smiling more, especially if someone gets me talking about something i like to talk about. People still say that they wouldn't want to play poker against me.

Mostly flat but occasionally if something strikes me in an odd way i have been told i raise an eyebrow
