There is a God?

My questions:
1. Why did you put so much salt water on the planet?
2. If it took millions/billions of years to make us who we are today, why did you lie to me about quickly you finished your project?
3. If life exists on other planets why did you separate and isolate us?
4. You don't trust us do you?

God made me an Aspie for the same reason he made me an atheist.

I was raised both cathelic and baptist. Was even 'born again'. True birth for me was when I went beyound/gave up all that. That's when the light shines.

We are ALL the result of millions of years of reproductive cycles and various environments. We are all here today because our ancestors were born, survived and bred.

We are here today because our environment allows it. We are not square pegs trying to fit a round hole. We are npolygons trying to fit in an n-1 polygon.

You are functioning but have not found your niche.

I need to stop watching LIFE.

Because he couldn't have a physical disorder where the breakage/error/damage is in the message's delivery path(MS) active in two members of this family and he didn't want both me and my sister to be "gifted" NT's so he decided to make me f****d up in the brain so I can't succeed academically, which in turn means I can't get a job that isn't just a "job" and I can't work anywhere but s**tholes like Wal*Mart, who claim to be "equal opportunity" employers, where you just have to take your supervisor's constant ignoring of all your difficulties/limitations relating to yuor disability(ies) and its(their) direct relation to the area where you work because the main "coach"(location manager) won't do s**t about it if you say something.

I don't believe in God. If I have Asperger's it is because of a genetic abnormality and not because some mythical god had it for me or wanted me to learn a lesson that he didn't want the rest of humanity to all learn.

Meh... I'm not sure how to answer, as I don't really know where I lie on the subject matter officially. But... if I had to take a guess...

maybe it's so that when others talk to me, they won't whine so much about how horrible their lives are or how rough they have it because x likes z instead of them and all of that drama stuff. Maybe it makes people feel better to know what I have, and know that they don't have it...

I guess I can take a crack at these.

For the saltwater fish, obviously. Seriously, though, it's a natural result of having a planet with enough salt and enough water on it for all the biological organisms on it to use. Both sodium and chlorine are quite essential to life, and very very handy little atoms for all sorts of purposes, especially when it comes to cells communicating and letting things in and out. Plus, combine them and they become quite inert--a bonus if you're trying to keep from poisoning your biosphere.

Ask the ancient Jews about what "poetry" and "figurative langauge" means. The Creation account is an obvious poem.

That's assuming life on other planets exists, but I am guessing it's so we don't nuke each other before we get sensible enough not to. We've killed each other whenever we encountered life on our own planet, after all.

Would YOU trust us? There's a reason the phrase "human nature" isn't a positive concept.

I agree with much of this in fact...and the funny thing is I believe our current stage of evolution is just that: our current stage. I don't believed our species has fully evolved yet. To get to the "utopia" everyone dreams of, we have to evolve to that point. Currently, our species is able to acknowledge problems here and there, but can't comprehend the means of understanding to fix them, as we're too emotionally driven. I believe in the further stages of evolution, our intelligence would give way to such comprehension.

Funny how many people still refer to God as 'he'. Is it habit or conviction I wonder?

I'm not arguing with you, but there's also a school of thought that says that one thing that makes homo sapiens different from other primates is the drive to cooperate, the solidarity. This tendency isn't always in evidence, but that might be more to do with generations of trauma than human nature. Just a thought.

We can ask, but I don't think we'll get an answer. The only jews alive today are the modern ones...

I do not believe in God. If he exists, he's clearly deranged or sadistic; if not, belief is foolish and pointless.

I don't know why God/Hashem made me autistic/an Aspie, but I'm sure he has his reasons.

The "day" in the bible is not a 24 hour day, it's millions/billions of years.

I don't know why God made me an aspie, and I'm not searching for an answer to it either.
Maybe it was to make me a meditative / contemplative person (though you can be that as an NT too).
Maybe to make a theologian who is thinking a bit out of the box?
Maybe to make me dependent on him in a special manner.
Maybe to make a person who concentrates on people one to one?
Maybe to draw me to him who cares for those who are looked upon as strange or socially unacceptable / doing socially unacceptable things?
