Most with "LFA" aren't much different to most with HFA and AS. It's as simple as that, and anyone who's been around a number of individuals with these labels will tell you the same.

It's just when you get to those rare few who stay nonverbal, which is around 18% of those with Autistic Disorder, is there a difference (that difference being verbal ability).

I can completely relate to non-verbal autistic people. Before the age of 8, I only talked to my sister and grandfather. I remember many occasions being asked to stand up and read in front of class in first and second grade. I heard the words in my head, but I could never get them out of my mouth. It's like the path way was broken. It's a horrible feeling when you need something from your teacher or parent and you can't ask for it. It sucked.
