I far prefer e-mails and texts to phone calls.

Talking on the phone makes me very nervous, and I never know what to say or when to say it.

I prefer to talk to people in person, or send e-mails. I also prefer to use message boards.

I don't like emails because there is waiting time involved. It makes me anxious after a while if people don't respond, and I begin wondering whether they're ignoring me and what they thought when they got my message.

I get that too, but I've learned to be fine with it now. I guess it depends who I'm talking to as well.

Phone conversations with my dad tend to be full of long silences because neither of us know what to say beyond the factual stuff that's happening. With my siblings, they fill in the silences so it's easier. But I also prefer "business" phone calls because it's just in and out without much chatter.

Written communication is easiest for me because I can edit and take time to come up with the right words.

i hate the phone with a passion, it's the fear of who might be on the other end. i won't even talk to my friends on the phone willingly, i text every chance i get or when i feel like it i got a texting phone for that reason.

I find that the phone, and other electronic devices alter my voice, a little.

I actually like the phone when it comes to talking to a friend. As for making professional calls or just talking to people I dont know, I get nervous talking to people over the phone. Things just seem to come out ackward. If its someone i dont know well, I'll will rarely call, i'll just text.

If I can see someone in person, that will naturally take precedence over calling them.

I wouldn't say i dislike phones im just not very good with them as i have hearing problems and people on the receiving end can be very unhelpful and don't really seem to care about your situation.
