I did that other test, I'm still trying to figure out what 90% of the results mean. Crap, it won't paste into here nicely.

Well, I wrote in my post that the T-score is based on the average of 50, so if you get a T-score of 90 for example then you are very likely to have whatever it is. (I realize I didn't mention "T-score" anywhere in my last post, but it took me 5 minutes of research to figure it out, it's not that hard. :P )

Bit skeptical about this test, but it seemed fun...

Paranoid: 58% (49%)
Schizoid: 62% (53%)
Schizotypal: 46% (53%)
Antisocial: 54% (47%)
Borderline: 62% (47%)
Histrionic: 58% (43%)
Narcissistic: 26% (41%)
Avoidant: 42% (39%)
Dependent: 62% (37%)
Obsessive-Compulsive: 74% (40%)

Ah, very refreshing to know that I have an above-average score for the majority of personality disorders out there.
The significantly higher-than-average scores for dependence and obsessive-compulsive tendencies weren't all that surprising, either. :P

Paranoid~ 54%
Schizoid~ 78%
Schizotypal~ 74%
Antisocial~ 38%
Borderline~ 74%
Histrionic~26%
Narcissistic~ 38%
Avoidant~ 66%
Dependent~ 86%
Obsessive-Compulsive~ 70%

This isn't really a surprise to me because when I was tested for AS I was officially diagnosed with Schizoid personality instead along with Borderline, Obsessive-Compulsive personality & told I fit the main features of Schizotypal as well. I'm also very dependent due to being born with some some physical disabilities in addition to mental stuff. They never mentioned Dependent personality with me thou. Does being dependent due to a specific rezone like in my case having disabilities exclude you from the personality disorder diagnoses :?: I'm almost positive I have AS & I think if I were to get tested again I might not meet the criteria for Schizotypal & Borderline now because I was suffering from a psychotic depression at the time & I think some of those symptoms were related to that

I think the questions and conclusions are a bit ridiculous, unless you assume that scoring 50% or less means you don't have that personality disorder. Otherwise everyone has some degree of personality disorder, which I don't believe.

Well it's by no means a credible test, and you're supposed to compare your results to the average: if it's significantly higher than the average, then you're supposedly likely to have it, and vice versa. If you want to take a credible, in-depth test, take the MMPI-2 a fewpages back, the one with 567 questions. That's an official test that is used to diagnose people. ;)

I've been officially tested: I filled in a questionnaire and then there was a loooong interview. The only thing that stood out a bit was schizoid, but it wasn't enough to warrant a diagnosis. So yes, those non-professional tests are merely personality tests.

I took it & I have no clue what the results are. I might should look for that post.

I've researched the different personality disorders a bit before. I focused on the ones that I was diagnosed with tho & a couple of em can overlap a bit with AS. Obsessive-Compulsive personality does have some similarities with AS sometimes.
Some including me think Schizoid personality can be an adaptation to having AS. If the person wasn't identified as a kid with AS when they see psychs/docs/quacks as an adult; they may see the Schizoid adaptation without trying to understand the cause. That is what happened with me. I'm NOT saying that the majority of Aspies have a Schizoid personality or that the majority of Schizoids are unidentified Aspies but that does happen sometimes. Schizoid & AS can not coexist & docs are more likely to diagnose a kid with AS than they are to diagnose a kid with Schizoid; & some are more hesitant to diagnose an adult with AS than with something like Schizoid. When I was tested rite before I was 21; they told me that I had to get diagnosed before 21 because in order to diagnosed the problems, issues & things have to have manifested before 21 & I guess they couldn't diagnose it after because those things needed to be documented before age 21.

I think one of the main differences between some of the different personality disorders, AS 7 other things is the cause.

seems quite accurate, especially the unusually high dependency on other people 8O

As I said earlier in this thread, it took me about 5 minutes to figure out that the T-score is based on an average of 50, with a standard deviance of 10, so if your score is significantly higher than 50, you're likely to have whatever the score is for. ;)
