I don't get on well with children at all. I'm not entirely sure what it is about them, but they just really annoy me.

Unfortunately, I seem to attract children, like a great child-attracting magnet, and they always want to talk to me or do something with me :?

For some reason all kids respect me and like me. If they start misbehaving I guess they know I will not tolerate it. My neice will open up to me more than anyone else.

I'm fine with babies as, although they have the potential to cry very loudly, the can't talk and, therefore cannot answer back or be cheeky. Otherwise, I'm not really a big fan of children.

Kids make me nervous; I don't know how to talk to them.

Im not a fan of kids of any age. Apparently Im good at looking after kids (under 10). Mainly cos i let them beat me up

I hate it when they talk to you as they always look you right in the eye and i find that disturbing despite the fact they mean no harm.

And you have to look them in the eye otherwise they notice and ask questions.

I don't like kids, really. I don't like how people with babies will flaunt them and want me to say something nice about them. I'm just not into the screaming, crying, high pitched whines, mucous, vomit, dependency, etc...

I get along great with children, in the sense that I become a child with adult privileges. If anybody wants me to take the parental role, I'm outta there.

I think that it can be kind of frustrating with kids that are between 3 and 7 years old because they reach an age when they cry and scream for some immature reasons. I don't hate kids, it just gets frustrating for me and it starts to bother me after awhile of babysitting them. I think it's partially from the fact that I like being alone sometimes, yet the times when I don't need to be alone for an aspie reason I like being around my nephew and making him happy. I also basically got ripped off by my sister, who thinks that my family runs a business called "Jared's Free Babysitting" (Jared is my nephew). I don't hate my nephew, it's just I had to be his babysitter entire summers for a few years for barely any money (she didn't even start paying me until she asked), and it gets old watching over someone else's child for free without any say in it after awhile. Now that I'm 18, she can't leave him over for entire weeks at a time during the summer. I'm planning on going to Alaska with my dad so that I can earn a little more money for college (by commercial fishing), plus so that I could avoid her leaving Jared here all the time. My mom didn't let me go to Alaska last summer for excuses, but I knew that she was just trying to sugar coat the fact that she wanted someone to be there to watch my nephew. Anyways, the time with my nephew has kind of dulled my likening for little kids between that age range. I still try to be reasonable with them, like playing games and watching movies with them whenever I babysit or just "hang out" with a little kid at around 5 or 6. I don't think that they could quite understand the fact that my Asperger's makes it hard for me to be with them all the time, with my sensitive ears and my need for some alone time once in awhile, plus a few other aspects of Asperger's that makes it hard for me to be around little kids.

Children have always responded well to me for some reason. I think they see me as quite unthreatening (which I am), and I'm willing to listen to them talk about the most inane of subjects. It's also easier to express interest in what they're doing for one reason or another.

I believe it all has to do with the fact that I don't hold children up to the same standard I do adults. I pretty much expect a child to annoy me and act like an idiot at times. As I'm prepared for it, it doesn't really bother me. I'm the same way with drunk people, come to think of it.

Did I answer this? No, I dont get along with them because I dont "get" them. My one friends son, though, said I was very cool! So, he was the second person to say that to me. Reason being was the kid was incredibly smart at age 7 and I'm more on knowledge then "play." I may have been able to relate to him better. As well, his mother was INFJ and very "outside" the norm. Me thinks something was up, there.

I like children if they are well behaved. If they are mean and don't know how to treat animals right, I don't like them. I consider myself generally more of an animal person than a child person. I get along well with cat people of all ages.

No, if there are children on a well, I usually stay off of it until they leave.

Children make me real nervous because I'm afraid they are going to be mean to me or make fun of and me try and hurt me. I was teased and made fun of by a bunch of them when I was one and get me into trouble because of the way I handle the situation. But once I see how sweet they are and they aren't going to hurt me, I calm down. But I feel like I have to walk on eggshells because I have to be really careful what I say to them and what I talk about because some things might be innaproppiate for a child to hear.
