How can you be sure of that?

If I were an evil slimebag I could make anyone cry.

Well, if you look at my post, I DID make a distinction between crying and weeping. MAYBE you can make me weep, MAYBE! I doubt you could make me cry.

I think Namiko's claim that she doesn't feel emotion is audacious.

I've met a few Aspies who used to be teased about showing their emotions, so they had to kill their own emotions, i.e. suppress them. I think that would be a big reason why they would seem unable to cry.

I cry a lot. Mostly, I do not know why I am crying. I do not cry at "usual" incidents, such as grieving. Instead I am usually feel struck, as if my enhanced sensory modaltiy is overflowing. The worst most embarrassing part: I cry in public (stress). I hate this....hate it, hate it. I am very shy. Often my crying is uncontrollable and, at worst, near hysteria (not too often though). I seem to have a certain stress threshold and then I become seriously frustrated with myself. I am very patient and understanding with others.
I may be described as "icy" but I cried at the movie "Charlotte's Web" uncontrollably. I am a dichotomy.

When and where did I say that I didn't feel emotion? It is not necessarily that I don't feel emotion, just that I rarely express it.

I was just crying an hour ago, because of something that happened last night.

Namiko: Without being presumptuous, maybe it is that it is difficult to discern the nature of the emotion or the cause. I suspect this in you since I am the same. Of course, you feel emotion (me too). But, I often cannot know why. I do feel but cannot express or articulate since this function is foreign. Further, by nature, I am rather somber and impassive. By analogy, it's like being feverish and not feeling well physically. I know I am sick, but I cannot necessarily diagnose the problem without further investigation (ie: do I just have the flu, or maybe it's denge fever? Hmmm). Unlike a physical ailment, emotions are difficult to "diagnose." Yes?

Also, about identifying an individual by their voice: I often identify people by their coloring, especially what kind (colors) of clothes are typical to them. Most everyone has fairly distinctive tastes and gravitate to a certain color palette.

Sure, until you get accused of being an attention seeker, are known as a crybaby and can't go anywhere without people mocking (imitating) you.

That's other people's problem, not yours.

It's my problem when i get mobbed and start freaking out.

I cry only if I feel completely surrounded or if there is something I love, otherwise I am not sure if this is a typical autistic behavior but I usually talk (or scream) to myself, Please tell me I am not weird or mentally ill, that talking to myself is a natural or autistic trait.

Ive cried physically twice in the last 15 years. first at age 11 when my mum died I cried for about 5 minutes while at the same time smashing my head onto a wall until I eventually blacked out.

second time was in october last year in the mental hospital when everything was too much and the pain in my head exploded out.

ive had to fight the tears on a couple of occasions since.

thing is i want to be able to cry for some things. I cry inside yet nothing comes out. Im like this with all emotions.

Well, in that case we have a lot in common.

i almost cried during a math test today. i took the cover off my calculator and what did i see on the inside of the cover?
Johnny P. Harmon, my late grandfather. he died when i was about 10 and i didn't care then but now all these emotions seemed to come down on me. i held my breath and began my test.

the last time i cried with actual tears was one 1/2 years ago. i came home from school for the christmas holidays and my parents were standing in the den. "It's Jazz.." i knew right when they said that they she was dead. my cat had been found dead, a bloody death, in a neighbor's backyard. i don't let the cats outside at night anymore.

I cried twice this week. Once watching Pi and again last night out of frustration at my work and my loneliness. Sometimes it just feels good to let it out and I always feel better after a good cry.
