If it's a rhythmic stim, though, I think it would be at least somewhat likely that autism would be evoked.

Some people might see it as such but much of the time with parties...things like that are attributed to being under the influence. And its not really judged as some bad thing more like 'hmm that person must be having a good time.' Just based on my personal experience with such gatherings.

I don't disagree.

I think passing as NT at least some of the time is essential if one wants to lead a non-isolating life and meet interesting people, some of whom might have interests in common with yours. LOL...I almost said "which" for "whom," which would indicate a serious social deficit--that I believe people are objects.

Sometimes, even NT's "pass for NT." And they are irritated that they have to play a role. There are times when NT's want to go to a place away from the hustle and bustle of the party.

I haven't been to a party in years; I don't miss it one bit.

I do actually enjoy parties most of the time. I definitely prefer house parties to clubbing which I don't enjoy much but do depending on how much I had to drink and on the company. However I think I prefer going to a pub for a few drinks and actually talking to people (cant do that in a club really without having to shout or go outside). I find it much more relaxing to go toa pub or go out for a meal.

However, I think disliking clubs or not liking them much is the same for a lot of nt people. A lot of them will say they would only enjoy it if they had been drinking.
