Phew, anyway..... So, where were we? Oh, yeah.....

Something somebody said----maybe, Luzhin----I can't remember, now, but----something somebody said made me think I should say something to clarify.....

I just wanted to clarify that I don't think God, like, turns "regular" people (people on earth) into supernatural beings (angels), or something like that. I meant that I feel like God, maybe, puts the thought into someone's head that they need to go help someone----or, not even, maybe, THAT much information----maybe, he puts a thought into somebody's head that makes them walk (literally) in a different direction on the street, and when they DO so, they end-up keeping someone from walking in front of a bus (like some guy did to ME). When I said the part, in my OP post, about "God uses regular people as angels", I meant "someone who does a kind deed". When I said, in my OP, "I believe in angels"----THAT part was about the supernatural kind.

Oh, ok, I see what you're saying now. Yes, I think that is true. There is a saying that 'we are the hands and feet of God'.
We are the ones moved by inspiration, impulse, empathy, what have you, to do the good works to help our fellow humans. So, in that sense we are angels...which btw, in Hebrew (mal'ak) simply means messenger or representative.

EXACTLY!!

This has happened so many times over the years, I just can't see any explanation.

Another time, I decided to look on the Internet for a childhood friend I hadn't seen since I was about 12 (I was 45 at the time I tried to find him). He wasn't on the Internet but a few days later, I was informed by my Mother that he'd died and it was around the same time I decided to look him up!

Yeah, I know wha'cha mean. When I first got here I started a thread asking if any other ASDers had, like, a sixth sense about things, or some feeling like that. I've had dreams that have come true, TOO, like what you described. Also, one time, at work, this man walked in, and I thought: "Good GOD, he looks like a child molester!!" LOL I don't know what, on earth (literally), made me think that----what does a child molester look like, anyway. Then, very soon after, it was on TV, that he had been arrested for child molestation!!

Someone on here said something about: "Why would an Aspie BELIEVE things like this?"----or, something like that..... Well, what if..... You know how they say, like, a blind person's OTHER senses are heightened----maybe, to compensate for what they're "lacking"? Well, what if some ASDers have some kind of sixth sense to make-up for the things in which WE are "lacking"?

Also, I've heard LOTS of times that, like, "things are out there", we just have to be "still", to "feel" them----or, "hear" them, or whatever. I'm thinking that could, very well, BE!!

I believe, and yes it is just a belief but it comes from seeing many, many, experiences such as those you've mentioned, that on some level we are all connected. Maybe the closer we are/were to a person the more 'connected' we are.
As an example; My mother died last year. She was living with my sister 3 states away. At the time she was ill but was expected to get better. Anyway, I was on the computer and 'felt' a presence behind me and at almost the same time I heard my mother call my name. I turned around and said,"I understand, goodbye mom". Fifteen minutes later my sister called to say my mom had just died.
There is so much we don't understand, perhaps, one day we will.

And let's not forget that some Aspies believe/d they came from or belonged to another planet.

Also, it's a definite fact that many of us can relate to animals on a much higher level than NT's.

That's true. I remember as a child (1960's), that I would lay in my bed at night, watching out the window and waiting for the ship to come take me back to my home planet. I just figured, in my childish way, that since I am so different from everyone else I must be on the wrong planet. The ship never came and here I am. But, fifty years later, every now and then I'll still look out the window at the stars and wonder how come they couldn't find me.

You sound like you could be my twin (only I was in the 70's).

I couldn't work out if I was left here for safety, for punishment or to learn something. I remember looking up at the sky and thinking, "When are you coming to pick me up?"

I also still look up occasionally and wonder, and I'm now 47.

OMG, regarding "the presence" thing: When my aunt (mother-figure who had helped raise me) died, for about 5 months afterwards, I felt a very heavy presence above my left shoulder. You know how you think somebody is watching you, and you turn-around, and sure-enough, someone is waving to you to "come here"? Well, it was sort-of like that kind of feeling, except kind-of "heavy"-like, on my shoulder. Well, so I didn't know if it was my aunt, or if it was supposed to be an angel, or something, but I started, sort-of, talking to it, every once-in-awhile, telling it I was alright----then, like I said, about 5 months later, one day "it" was just no longer there.

Have you ever heard stories about people, like, while they're being operated-on, they (their soul, I guess) rises above the operating table, and they look-down, on themselves, and the procedure, and everything? What do you think about THAT?

Also, I have a book by Victor Hugo, and he said something like that he believes people's soul leaves their body while they sleep, at night. I don't know if I believe THAT (a couple of times, when I've had to get-up, during the night, to go to the bathroom, I've thought of his words, and thought: "Wait, how does that 'work'----can I walk-around, if my soul's not in my body?"); but, again, it's something that makes ya go "Hmmm....."

That's freaky. When my Mother was pregnant with me, my Dad was in hospital. He had a tumor. My Mum was staying at her sister's place while Dad was in hospital.

She said it was 3 in the morning and she woke up, sat up and she could see my Dad outside the window and that he looked all rainbow colored. She said he was only there for a second but he looked serene. Mum said she blinked and he was gone. Just then, the hospital rang to say he'd passed away and my Mum's one of THE MOST honest people. She's 'Aspie Honest'.

That's RIGHT----GOOD point!! Maybe some of us are meant to be Einsteins, some of us are meant to be Tolstoys, and some of us are meant to have some kind of a "cosmic relationship" / sensitivity, or something.

Ohhhh, that's INTERESTING!! I wonder if you get your "feelings", "sensitivity", or whatever from your mother? My biological mother had the same thing----again, maybe a "sixth sense", or something----maybe, I got it from HER!!

I now believe in that. When I was younger, I was very logical (still am, usually), skeptical, black and white but since growing old(er), I've experienced enough first hand stuff that just can't be explained.

Yep, I totally relate to that!!

Did you see my post to Luzhin, a couple of posts back----about the operating room, and what Victor Hugo said, in his book? Wha'd'ya think about THAT?

Great post. I sometimes get lucky like narrowly escaping accidents, things occasionally go right for me and I say "Thank you" because it feels like I'm being protected in some situations. Perhaps it's my Dad? Perhaps it's nothing but it sure feels like something at times!

I'm not sure about out of body experiences. That one's still on the debate floor for me.

When you sleep LOL  - Nah, don't think I agree with that one either.

OMG, I say the SAME thing----well, I say "Thankyou, GOD" (with an empasis on "God", just like that)----or, like that time the guy pulled me out from in front of the bus, I said "Thankyou, God, for sending him, to me!!"

It's interesting that you say you "feel protected"----I've always said that I thought God was lookin'-after me since the first time I drew breath. I've always heard that God knows the end, from the beginning, and because I've had so many bad things happen in my life, that God knew he was gonna have to take, like, "extra measure", with me, or whatever.

Since I've grown older (I'm 53, BTW), I've also wondered if "our people", who have "gone-on", protect us.

I'm not sure about out of body experiences. That one's still on the debate floor for me.

Yeah, the jury's still out, for me, TOO, on that one----but, I've heard / read some pretty convincing stories.

When you sleep LOL - Nah, don't think I agree with that one either.

Yeah, LOL----but, I HAVE to appreciate the musing!!

Very good point. Only in western cultures are beliefs in spirits or aliens seen as mental illness.
