Yes. I have Raynauds, which manifested in early 20's. My fingers and toes turn blue and white with exposure to

that I cannot tolerate heat; of course, this is common as we age. I moved to San Diego County in 2013 largely in
search of a mild climate without extremes. So far, I have had Raynauds attacks only twice. You are right, though,
nothing much helps. I used to wear shoes made in Canada, wool and angora sox, long johns. In summer, I wear
as little as possible, mostly gauze and linen. It's a pain, that's for sure. Never being comfortable. Worse is air
conditioning, you wear comfortable clothes, then go into a theatre or restaurant and it's freezing. Some work
situations are also close to unbearable. Even buses and Amtrak over chill, why, I do not know.

many public places "over chill" because most folks over dress, especially businessmen with their 3-piece suits.

I'm glad i'm not the only one! never been one for the heat either. I always liked the cool breeze from the windows open in the car. I dont mind it warm but when it's stuffy and theirs no breeze, it's unbearable for me. I do prefer cooler weather generally.

I wonder if the Dorset weather is anything like western Washington weather?

I have the opposite problem....neither hot nor cold actually bothers me unless it's really extreme. I mean I prefer the heat...it takes a lot of it to make me hot. I'm more sensitive to the cold, but I can still withstand more than most people.

I have a very narrow range of temperature that I find comfortable. Since I live in the Midwest this makes life pretty miserable most of the year. Humidity seems to be a big problem for me. I cannot tolerate having any sweat on my skin, and since I am hypersensitive and prone to sweating, I quickly become miserable when the humidity gets above a certain level.

I have a home with a 1/4 acre yard which I maintain. I have found I must complete all landscaping projects and cleanup in the Spring before the temperature gets above 60 degrees, and likewise I have to wait until the temperature falls to below 60 degrees in the Fall to begin Fall cleanup.

When the weather forecasters talk about "nice weather" on the way, I always cringe because I know they mean temperatures in the 70's and above.

I can pretty much relate to all of this :/

Heat and high humidity = unbearable. I live in Florida, and between May to October any outdoor activities or events usually result in my becoming physically ill, lethargic, clumsier than usual...and i can feel each trickle of sweat as it runs down my back and funnels into my butt crack. Breathing is harder. My skin burns easily. I do like to imagine a life further north which at least have cooler periods annually. But too many important things/career/family are here. Leaving would make life harder away from family or friends even though the heat is so unbearable. Florida will one day kill and cook me.

For those of you who dislike the heat & humidity because you hate sweating, there are treatments that can reduce sweating. I take a med partly for that reason(& so I don't have to wake up having to pee as much) but I still sweat some. I just don't sweat quite as much. The med I'm on is Oxybutynin

Temperature intolerance is the only sensory issue I suffer. I hate heat. I hate sweating when even sitting still and not be able to sleep for the heat, and I hate how miserable, lethargic and easily irritated I get when it's too hot for me.
I have always suffered at temperatures others have found delightful. It used to be that anything above 20 C was too much for me, which has been raised to 22, and today we have 24 C indoors, down from 27 - 30 C we had had for weeks before that, and embarrassingly, my feet got cold enough that I have slippers on  That would never have happened just a few years ago.
It seems that my heat sensitivity has slightly improved.

OTOH I used to be cold tolerant, but I am less so now than I used to be. The last couple of winters have seen me freezing indoors before the flat heats up, and that's fairly new.

I haven't noticed any except being more thirsty but that could be related to other meds I'm on. I know there are some potential side-effects thou but I don't remember what they are.

I'd love to try it so I don't have to pee every 30 minutes or wake up 3 times per night and so I don't start sweating immediately after showering but doctors here hate it when I ask for prescriptions and I'm not sure if I can justify that medication when I'm not incontinent.

Statement i heard the most at work today : "You are sweating a lot, am i right? How is it that it is even happening in an air conditioned store?"

I love people who are just there to state the obvious

I remember offending coworkers in the overheated hospital [L & D/maternity] unit I useta work in, with my heavy sweating in the 85F [! 8O ] heat that they kept it at [premies need their heat], the rest of the folks were wearing sweaters and complaining about it being too cold! what freaks.
