Definitely. I find the phone an obnoxious intrusion into my life.
I'm not so bad with the mobile because it shows who the caller is so I don't need to be so suspicious on answering.

For me, the biggest thing I notice is how hard certain social situations are. But if you asked anyone else, Im sure the one they notice the most is how much time I devote to my TV and computer. They look at me as just being shy - but that's the one that causes me the most problems. And if anyone saw me stim, they would definitely think that that is the weirdest thing I do - it's just normal for me now.

Right? Cause when the sheeit hits the fan and it will - ya know - in the guise of some meteor hitting and collapsing the entire satellite communication network out there in space - people will be left with their dicks - excuse me - cell phones - in their hands with NO WAY to connect. Ha. That or the mother of all solar flares. Then what'll the masses do? Oh dear me!

The whole social and anxiety issue. I guess I don't hear things well at all the first time they're said to me either.

That sounds like disassociation. Does it ring a bell for you? I mean to disassociate from reality - i.e. being anywhere ELSE but the here and now -because what's here and now totally sucks beyond comprehension?

Now you're not even trying to hide it. You might as well come out and say that you're a troll, because you are.

Will someone/s please explain this to me?

I don't get how this indicates trolldom. . .

I think that it would be nice if we were to settle all of our differences, don't you?

My MAIN issue would be feeling disconnected from every other human being on the planet. When I am walking somewhere, I almost feel like I am dreaming and somehow, just not really there. When someone talks to me in real life...I feel as if they are talking "through me" and not "to me". Hard to explain I guess.
But not feeling any connection towards humans is my main issue.

This brings on anxiety for me, which leads to avoidence of everything.

My main issue is also that I don't feel connected to any person. I like some people very much, but I don't as if I belong to them.
I can work on everything else, overcome all the other issues to a favourable extent, but I can't truly get into touch with another person.

I wrote about this already in The Haven, because it has the tendency to crush down heavily on me on an irregular basis.

It doesn't. Plain and simple - but there are all kinds of very sick people on this board - and that's a fact.

Yippee for the web and diversity! :)

Social skills I'd guess.

Mine are probably being quiet/anti-social, dealing with stress/anxiety, and expressing/explaining myself or things, even if i don't need to i feel i do, and need to or not i never can so "normal" people can understand me. Do we have our own language or something?

I do answer it but I'm usually pretty irritable about it - like I resent the other person for making me talk to them when it's convenient for them, no matter that I was in the middle of something & didn't want to be interrupted.

As others have said, I too feel "disconnected" - like I exist inside my head & am looking out through my eyes at the world as if I am looking through a window.

My main issue for me though has to be my executive dysfunctional problems - my lack of social skills is probably more of a problem for people around me than it is for me.

Regarding this disconnected thing-does it feel like you're physically disconnected from your body a little bit-like sort of out of phase with it? I do that sometimes, less than once a week I'd say (thankfully). And of course I always feel disconnected socially.

It's what I call being an alien. I speak a different language, heck even look different always being the tall, geeky chick with the bandana and walking stick. Will I conform. Never. Let em all catch up. Till then hello alien city.
