Woodpecker i no longer have interest in discussing this with you.. why, because the more oyu talk the more yu sound competent but incompetent. why. because my dentist still puts a lead apron on me for x-rays

radiation of any dose is not good for you. but if you continually get it such as a radiographer you will have problems if you dont protect vital organs and your thyroid.
eyes ears nose mouth and that are not as sensitive

health physics society continues to advocate the use of lead aprons for people who are in the area of the machine. my dentist does not need to wear one, but he puts one on me with a thyroid collar because of backscatter radiation from the machine. thus so many places advocate the apron and you mr. competent essay think lead aprons are not necessary.

Isn't lead poisonous? And don't they say that lead poisoning has something to do with autism or some such nonsense?
Jus' something to think about.
lead apron contains lead which is sealed very heavily. why are all radiologists not autistic when they wear lead aprons for more than 12 horus a day...

yes i ask my dentist all the time and he lets me wear it from start of visit to the end.

you are heavily mis-informed. not all modern aprons are lead free. most are lead impregnated. the lead free counterparts are much more expensive and not economically feasible for most large hospitals.
