If anything, my grandmother was a "refrigerator mother" but my dad and uncles aren't on the spectrum at all. There might be other issues, but autism certainly isn't it. I was diagnosed with Asperger's, but it wasn't because of my grandma or anyone else, but it's thought that a great grandmother who was my grandma's MIL might have had autistic traits.
