I talk averagely, except in social situations where I don't know anybody. I go completely mute.

It's sometimes embarrassing really, because once when I had a garden party in my garden with lots of relatives and other people I didn't know, and I sat yapping away to my auntie and mum and brother, then as soon as the party guests started to arrive, I shut up completely, like I immediately switched personalities. My brother then commented on it later. He was like, ''switch on your loud personality! The quiet one is boring!'' And I did not know what to say.

I'm sure my brain changes itself, depending on the environment I'm in!

Because I live alone, I rarely speak more than 100 words per week. Although when I speak to my parents I can carry on a decent conversation for about a half hour until I run out of things to say.

I was just normal at school, just quite shy in lessons. By normal, I didn't speak too less to make teachers worry. I was just generally shy, and had some difficulties making friends. Doesn't mean I didn't talk at all.

Sometimes it's just so difficult to translate thoughts, feelings and knowledge into speach. The spoken word can be handy tool when you want to communicate with others but it's by no means perfect, it's a faltering tool. There are days and moments when my thoughts, feelings and emotions are enough and spoken words are simply obsolete, unnecessary and even irritating. I know that this sounds terrible but it would be a relief if other people wouldn't talk as much either. A lot of conversations are totally trivial and pointless in my opinion and I appreciate a bit of silence from time to time. Smalltalk gets on my nerves.

It's a problem for me to speak in larger groups. I tend to avoid birthday parties for example because there is no point in going when I'm unable to utter a word, waiting for the right moment to hurry home again.

That doesn't mean that I'm not verbal though but there are moments when the words just won't come out right.
