I have severe sensory issues so I cannot wear anything tight. All clothes must be 100% cotton and baggy / large. I only ever wear tracksuit trousers and baggy tshirts / large sweatshirts. I am a size 12 (UK sizing) top but I buy size 16 tops. I am a smallish build but I order large or extra large tops (depending on the sizing system as sometimes large is not large enough). I am female but I hardly ever buy female clothes. I am found in unisex / male clothes most of the time. When I order tshirts off the internet I order male ones not females because the female ones are too tight and short. I need my tshirts to be long and cover my bum, otherwise I'll be tugging at them (for some reason I just cannot stand short tops).

My mum hates my clothing style and she says I "look like a boy" and that I should "dress feminine" but I say f*** femininity I've always hated being female.

I am not sure what I'd wear when I eventually get a job...I have tried to wear smart or fairly smart clothing before and I've ended up tugging at my clothes, rearranging myself and fidgeting constantly, which then leads to a meltdown.

But what people find cool about me is that most of my tshirts are carefully selected online as they are geeky joke tshirts. Like "there's no place like 127.0.0.1" or "wanted: dead and alive, Schrodinger's cat". I recently got one that said "I want to help the world but they won't give me the source code". My current favourite one is the tshirt that has a molecular structure of haloperidol on it and says "haloperidol" below it. I wear that one to my psychiatrist appointments lol. Or the dopamine sweatshirt.

I like tight clothes. Thankfully these are in fashion at the moment.

For years all I would wear were tight, tank tops and floor length, homemade skirts. Some things changed for me since last summer and now I find I am really into buying myself new clothing. Weird for me... I have shirts from the 90's and could not stand buying and breaking in new clothes. I am enjoying it now though, which is good because I really do need new stuff... most of my items were stained, worn out and full of holes. Online shopping has been a helpful discovery for me.

I have been getting into dresses, jeans and loose cotton t-shirts, those big leg pants that kinda look like skirts, and bracelets. I also got myself some long sleeve shirts and high heel shoes. I never have minded heels, I tend to not wear them out as fast as I do other types of shoes as well... I wreck shoes (and socks) because of how I walk.

Always baggy, tight clothes feel restrictive and itchy.

I'd happily go naked if I could, but society doesn't like that.
I can't stand pants or jeans; but that's what guys have to wear in public, so that's what I wear. Then something to suite the climate, hot, cold, wet. Comfort and warmth (or cool), is my prime consideration, then consideration to where I'm going and what's expected.

I like nice looking clothes, but they have to be comfortable. I judge them by touch when I shop, anything that feels rough don't have a chance making it into my basket. Nowadays I mostly wear flowy skirts with soft sweaters or blouse (silk preferred) or t-shirts. I almost never wear neutral or "classic" clothes. :) I like bold colors and patterns and maybe slightly over the top styles. My black clothes only come out when I go to funerals. My dad mostly wears dress shirts and dress pants, usually topped with a merino sweater, a suit sometimes. He doesn't ever wear t-shirts, shorts or sandals. It must be his generation.

One of my kids likes dress pants or khakis with a shirt or polo shirt. He always try to look clean and respectable. Maybe he's like my dad. The other one doesn't care at all, whatever he can still squeeze in is fine.

*We're all on the spectrum.

I've been told by coworkers that I dress like a different person everyday.

Nothing fancy, but I might dress in jeans and an Adidas shirt with high tops and a bandanna one day and then dress like the grownup I'm expected to be the next day. My go-to style, though, is similar to Liz Lemon from 30 Rock. Lol.

Dressing in different styles also makes it hard for people to recognize you when you're out and about, if you're into that. :ninja:

I wear jeans, mostly t-shirts, sometimes turtlenecks and don't like leaving the house without my jacket, even if it is 30°C outside. 30°C is comfortable weather to me and my parents complain that throughout the year my room is 26°C while it is only 16°C in the rest of the house.

I would say the latter is more likely. But I have noticed that people on the spectrum tend to develop repetitive "uniforms", or similar sets of clothes that they wear again and again.
I sure do....And all of it ignores most current trends in dress. I simply don't pay attention to that stuff.

I also only vaguely pay attention to fashion trends, just enough to pass as a middle-class NT. That said I have found that I wear repetitive "uniforms" - similar sets of clothing that I wear again and again. In my case this consists of straight-leg dark jeans, with a black or navy camisole covered by an button down shirt with a collar and 3/4 length sleeves, left open. I also don't buy clothing with patterns and stick to a few basic colors: shirts that are jade green, teal, coral, sage or denim. I especially like the denim shirts and wears those alot. I do like fashion scarves in the winter. I can't tolerate most types of jewelry, so only wear simple gold hoop earrings.

I hate dresses and don't even own a pair of high-heeled shoes.

I usually wear jeans and t-shirts. I like nerdy t-shirts. I have a few from ThinkGeek, and I have a few game related t-shirts from Arcade block. (I subscribed for 3 months to try it out).
A couple of years ago, I bought a pair of stretchy jeans because I couldn't find any regular jeans that I liked. I thought I would hate them, but it turns out that I like them more than regular jeans, because they don't dig in around the waist when you're sitting for a long time (which as a college student, I often have to do).
I hate tags that are sewn on all four edges. They're so scratchy and annoying. I usually take them out with a seam ripper. But sometimes "tagless" clothes can be more annoying, because the stuff they print the tag on with can sometimes crack and get scratchy and annoying, and since it's printed on, you can't remove it. I've only had that happen once or twice, though. Not enough to make me stop buying tagless clothes.
I don't like shirts that are made of light, flowy fabric because when it touches my arms, it feels like there's a bug crawling on me. (I have enough of an issue with randomly feeling like there are bugs crawling on my arms as it is. I don't need more of it from my shirts).
I can't stand anything that restricts the movement of my arms, which a lot of dressy shirts do. That's why I mostly wear t-shirts. Pretty much everything I own is made of cotton. There aren't really any other fabrics I can stand the feel of. Rayon is ok, (only for pants, because it's a light, flowy fabric) but it's mostly used in casual dress clothes. I don't like anything that's 100% acrylic or polyester, because it feels like I'm wearing a plastic bag. My skin gets sweaty, and the fabric holds it against my skin.
I don't like anything that's tight around my neck (like turtlenecks). I don't like anything with really short sleeves (like most "women's" fitted shirts) because it kind of sits right in my armpit and feels uncomfortable. I also don't like anything with tight wrist cuffs.
I don't like anything with lace. I have a hard time with bras, because I don't like it when things dig into my skin, which most bras do by design. I don't like bras with a band around the bottom, because it keeps flipping up, and I can feel it. It gets really annoying after a while. I don't like it when they have a textured fabric on the band, because it digs into my skin and rubs against it. It's rare for me to find a bra where the straps don't keep falling down, which is another big-time annoyance.
I need to be comfortable, or I'll be in a bad mood all day.

I love dresses. Always have. I like the way the fabric moves and drapes. Texture is as import as cut or color.

When I was a teenager I wore a lot of miniskirts with tights and high-heels. Had waist-length hair and frequently wore ribbons in it. I carried an parasol around to keep off the sun. Classmates called me umbrella girl. When I wore makeup I tended to favor heavy black eyeliner, particularly on the lower part of my eyes. Makes the eyes look very large and kind of sad, a sort of doll-like aesthetic.

I wear jeans now more than I did as a teenager though I still prefer dresses and skirts. I also tend to wear natural and organic fibers more than I did as a teenager (they are so much softer, wearing them makes my skin happy). I don't wear high-heels as often though I love the feel. I've always had a mincing gait (or so I've been told) and high-heels feel kind of natural in that regard. I feel like a cat, walking on tiptoe. I still use parasols. (I have some really fancy ones now) I also wear shawls in lieu of jackets because I love the way the fabric feels and the way it drapes. Currently have some shawls made from spun bamboo. They are delightful.
