Post-Autistic Subculture?
I don't see how they are contradictory in any way, shape, or form.

I call myself a hippie geek.
I don't see any reason why Autistic and hippie should be two contradictory terms. I'm just not able to find Autistics who call themself a hippie. I've encountered people that are into new age and I don't feel like I fit in with them.
I think of hippies of the 60s and I see a need for a civil rights movement to establish the civil rights of Autistics. It looks like every government on earth has a conspiracy to suppress the rights of Autistics.

The reason why I said Autistic and hippie are two contradictory words, is because I don't think I am finding anyone on this website who considers themself to be a hippie.
I think I am an Indigo child. It is one thing for people on this website to have an opinion that they don't believe they are an Indigo Child.
It is another thing to Attack Indigo Children and call them psychotic. That is exactly what I found in the posts on this website.
The following are a few of the characteristics of an Indigo Child:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have difficulty with discipline and authority
Refuse to follow orders or directions
Are mostly nonconformists
Do not respond to guilt trips, want good reasons
Now this is how those characteristics apply to me. As non Autistic people would say it using the word "Obsessed"
As I would say it, I am very interested in civil rights of Autistics. And I would tell anyone to f**k off if they try to tell me not to do it.
Can you find anyone on ANY website who considers themself a hippy?

Everything.
Um, could you be more specific, please?
If I'm not mistaken, the matter of Basicanism is not directly related to the subject of this thread and is merely coming about in response to the compliment I got. I'm not intending to proselytize here, but I'd like to try to address this briefly, seeing as it's come up. If anyone wants more info, I'd be happy to discuss it further with you, but it may be appropriate to PM me instead, because this is not the Religion Forum, and because I don't want to inflict spiritual discussion on anyone who's not interested. For this post, though, if you don't want to read it because it contains such stuff, I won't be offended at all if you skip it. But I respectfully request your indulgence for the moment, while I try to deal with this for those who are interested.
My Website is large. It has several parts. Only stuff in the Cabinet deals specifically with ASD at this time. Basicanism is my spiritual take on things. That section includes a downloadable version of the 1997 book I wrote, copyrighted, and self-published about it, as well as several articles I've written since. There's also a "Trap Door / Marble Chute" farther down the main Basicanism page that links to a few of my writings on some slightly deeper, more "mystical" things and a little about my take on the current popularity of the concern people have over 2012. Links in the "Trap Door / Marble Chute" are by picture, not words, and there are several levels, as well as videos to be discovered by those links.
Does this explanation help? If not, let me know, and I'll try to explain better.

So how exactly does it factor in with the website?

Well, as I said, my Website is large and has many parts. One reason I have it is to provide a place for me to express these spiritual ideas. So, that's the point. The whole Wayshelter is mine. Within that, I have a place to express my spiritual ideas in one section (about Basicanism). I have a place to display other stuff of mine and talk about other aspects of myself in another section (Shelterkeep's Room). I have a place to feature other people's work in another section (the Cultural Directory). I have a section for memorializing people, too, which has stuff about two people in it at this point (The Memorial Garden). And now I have a section for posting stuff I hope will be useful for helping and informing others (The Cabinet). In the Cabinet is where the listings about autism and Asperger's appear, which is a whole different section from the one about Basicanism. It's two different things in two different parts of the Website.
Is that what you were asking about? Let me know if things are still unclear. If I'm off track or not stating things very well, I can keep trying to get it right and to express it in a way that makes more sense.

Pothead forums perhaps. Also some conspiracy forums like godlike productions.
And if you take the "ravers = high tech hippie" assumption or evolution/argument rave forums count too.

Frankly i hate some posers who claim themselves as people with AS instead just having a plain introverted NT.
I'm a socially misfit who aloof because there is no people who wants to be my friend due to my lack of social skills.
However i respect for your brilliant argument Mr Ganondox
Some of us don't even know whether they have AS, they just recognize themselves in some descriptions.
The first post is interesting but I think it may be a little too soon for us to talk about a "post-autistic subculture".
As for Indigo Child theories, they are often inconsistent and may cause harm to children :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo_children
I'm an introvert (INTP), probably a NT introvert. Quite lame, because NT introverts are not popular or trendy. In fact we are practically invisible, we are shadowed by two forces that have strong virtual communities; extroverted NT's and autists/aspies. We are that half-way point that nobody notices. As Alvin31 has said here, we are "plain". Wow. Well, we are not plain, we are just unknown.
Introverted NT's fit better in this forum than in the "average NT forum" basically because Wrong Planet has a lot of introverted people.
