Does anyone here have a phobia of being touched?

Also, for me, when people touch me, I feel encroached upon and in pain. Are any of you experiencing these things or are you experiencing something different?

Thanks

If, and only if the following criteria are met:

1.) I like the person
2.) I have adequate warning
3.) If the form of tuching in question is appropriate

Gosh, my hands are all over everything. I go to my friends in school, stroke their hair, nuzzle them and then wrap my arms around them saying "Lesbian hug~~!" :B

When I am with my boyfriend I stroke his hands, fingers and arms. Heck, I even lick him sometimes XD

With me I can stand any form of contact where they are not touching my skin (hugs are great) but as soon as they touch my skin and I can feel there finger prints its time for a good ole fashioned aspie freakout :-D. With handshakes I always look at their hand for about 5 seconds to A) see if they will put it away and B) give me time think about if I really have to shake it... generally I will though. I am sure this makes me weird.

Usually when someone touches me, I jump and spin around.

I also do this; it seems only natural...if the touch is unexpected.

Does anyone else here absolutely have a meltdown if someone pokes them in the ribs? Neurotypicial people do this all the time as a greeting and more often than not, I'm also greeted this way. It bugs the hell out of me and I can't get them to stop.

I shriek and yelp when they do it and sometimes even lash out back at them depending on how light or how quickly and spastically they touch me.

Why can't NT's think of another way to greet???

My dad put's his weather-worn ice-cold hands on my neck and I jump and scream

but it's so silly that I laugh over it in the end~

I guess touching never really bothered me; it depends on where though.

I am very skittish. I hate shaking hands! And, unexpected or "surprise" touch is unnerving. I do not mind at all, though, instructive touch (ie: "I'll show you like this.") or genuine touch (like a coworker touching my forearm). I do like sex, but he needs to tell me what he's doing or I'm nervous. I love to touch and be touched by animals and I love different textures though. I use my hands a lot.

interesting... when you say "A lack of touch" would upset you, do you mean that if people NEVER touched you, or you need someone touching you all the time?

Sorry, I take things EXTREMELY literally... ;^) Yet another *Aspie trait*

~AG89~

The touch issue only applies to romantic interests. My second girlfriend, who was an Aspie, was very touchy-feely at first, then suddenly, she wasn't. And it was upsetting me. But that's not why the relationship didn't work out--she and I had different priorities (she had family issues, and I am trying to finish college).

Touching me without permission in a good way to get hurt. I tell people a good distant to just talk to me is one out or arms length. I hate huggers it takes all I got not to smack them in the head. Am am okay most of the time with close family members as long as I see it comming
