I followed the instructions, meticulously, but had favoritist teachers, who were never satisfied, even after countless attempts. I am still very self-conscious but text-book perfect. I am reproducing something childish, without personal style.

Bad enough that even I struggle to read it at times. My primary school teachers incorrectly thought I was left handed because of how many characters I reversed. And I was very glad when chip-and-pin cards came along, as I can't sign my name the same twice running.

My writing is horrible to be nice, if I concentrate on what I'm writing and take my time it is more readable but still messy by NT standards.
Though my wife says she can read my writing so it cannot be all that bad but she has 12 years of practice reading it.

My handwriting is pretty eh. It's readable, but not very nice to look at. I had a hard time learning cursive - my dad had to work with me for hours with supplementary books. I definitely do NOT have the "bubble" handwriting most of the girls had in school. I really can't write in a straight line without one being there.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who switches between printing and cursive in the same sentence - sometimes the same word, too.

Here's a weird thing. I took two and a half years of Russian. According to my high school teacher and my college professors, my Cyrillic cursive is BEAUTIFUL. I find it interesting my handwriting is better in my non-native language.

Honestly I don't know. I was called ret*d by my math teacher because of it then, but it was in 7th grade. Being that I was forced to write right-handed. Still do, and left-handed too.

I don't think it's terrible. Occasionally I was asked what was that word, but I think it's fluid. A bit odd maybe, esp. if writing fast, habit from college.

My pen ran over a ridge on the last word. :p

My second grade school report said that handwriting "was a challenge" for me, but this was from the same teacher who got upset that I wrote curved "y"s instead of straight ones.

Was diagnosed with NVLD in preschool, so my handwriting was pretty bad... It has improved gradually little by little over the years, though.

Mine too. I actually didn't hold a pencil correctly until I was in my 20s

The only problem is I tend to skip letters. It has something to do with auditory processing. When I type/write I hear the word in my head and my writing is slower than the sound so I will try to type the letter I currently hear instead of what I am supposed to type. I did it in "Thi(s)", "hand(w)ritting" and "is(n')t".

I didn't learn until recently that aspies supposedly have bad handwriting. Mine is excellent.
