I like Lupin better, but Sirius can be a cool guy (tough choice!). Lupin, however, knows a lot about magic and he (like other people said) is more stable, and I think his personality is awesome.

Lupin, definately. I loved how he got paired up with Tonks, and I'm so glad that JKR confirmed that Wormtail's silver hand won't kill him. (He may still die, of course, but I think one of the two deaths is more likely to be one of the Weasly's (probably Ginny)...)
