*Thinks*
Welllllll...
I don't fit:
Math genius (I suck at math.)
Any other type of genius/high IQ
Special skills/savantism
Good memory
Encyclopedic knowledge of my special interests (because of lack of good memory.)
Lack of imagination
Hater of fiction (I normally prefer fiction to nonfiction.)
Unable to understand sarcasm (I use it a lot myself... I only have some trouble when others do it.)
No sense of humor
Thinking in pictures

Thats all I can think of for now...

Man, I'm shamefully sarcastic sometimes - though never in a nasty way.

I'm pretty good with names.
I've been told my voice is sexy. (That would rule out monotone unless she has a monotone fetish)
I am not mechanically inclined. I bore myself more than anybody when talking about my special interests.
I have a good sense of humor.
I used to be naive, but I am now the other extreme and am quite cynical.
Bright lights don't bother me (but I have problems with the other senses)

The math stereotype exists because some with AS are savants with exceptional ability in mathematics. It's not that common.

I'm not a math wiz. I can do maths and I can estimate subconsciously the exact value of a variable, but I don't have any attraction to mathematics as a field.

I developed the so-called "Theory of Mind" very early on and have a fairly good understanding of motives and feelings and points of view (even if I can't read them instantly in peoples faces like NT's do). I imagine some people say that that means I'm not an Aspie, but most other things apply to me. I guess that could be their "concrete thinking" coming through.

Most of the stereotypes actually fit me pretty well, but there are few that don't...for example:

1) I can maintain eye contact without much difficulty
2) I enjoy reading fiction
3) I've never been fascinated with traps
4) I don't really stim (except for rocking myself to sleep)

I think you are dead on here...I love math, I love languages, and I love programming and I think it all comes down to pattern recognition. For me all three were a matter of learning a new "syntax" and "grammar"...whether it was a syntax of numbers, words, or symbols.

This is why I like learning Esperanto. It is a structured language with no exceptions in syntax, grammar, or spelling.

oh yeah, I forgot: I don´t have a monotone voice either.

I enjoy patterns (but not math). I love musical patterns, and I was a professional dancer (in my younger days). The first time I saw a ballet, at age 6, I was fascinated by the patterns the dancers made. Nowadays, I´m a choreographer, and I enjoy creating the patterns, coupled with the usage of musical patterns....

Well, I´m going on about one of my special interests now...I guess I do exhibit that trait.

I have friends, I feel empathy, I don't speak in a monotonous tone.

Hm well I guess the only thing I can really think of is pickiness about food. I will eat almost anything and I don't have any texture issues with food.
I don't think I'm monotonous and I am decent at interpreting/displaying facial expressions.

I seem to display all the other traits to a greater or lesser extent.

I think I'm pretty good at interpreting facial expressions. It's my facial expressions that baffle me (and everybody else.) I don't always know the facial expression I am displaying. I can be in good spirits, only to have people ask me what is bothering me based on my facial expressions.

I'm pretty good at eye contact although there are times when I'll look away while they're looking at me out of nervousness.

I don't fit into the stereotypical role of a savant or have an IQ that's above average.

My interests don't strongly fit into restricted areas of thinking such pragmatism or theology.

I have many "NT" interests such as music, movies, and people. With people, it's a bit frustrating since I lack in social skills.

I don't consider myself a loner at all. In fact it would be nice if I could have many friendships. Trouble is, there are times when there is just too much energy put into them. It'd be nice just to tell people without them taking it the wrong way to leave me alone until I can recooperate.
