Addressing people by name
For an example, I couldn't say something like, 'Hey, Bill!' I am only comfortable with saying 'Hey!' (or 'Hallo!'/'Guten Tag!'/'Guten Morgen!'/'Guten Abend!'... etc.) after someone else initiated the greeting. Same with 'Goodbye' (or 'Auf Wiedersehen'/'Tschüs'... etc.)
I really hate when people use my name when addressing me. I'm not too sure why; it probably has to do with my fear of having attention drawn to myself.

I remember when I was in college doing theatre or a performance at church. I wanted to share my music, and part of me really wanted to be seen, acknowledged. However, I felt so uncomfortable after I performed, even with a grateful applause from the
audience. I would rush through my part of the performance or after, rush off stage. It was like I felt no one really wanted to see/hear me and I needed to get out of the way for the next performer. I was often told I was talented, but I lacked and often still lack,( 30 years later,) the confidence in myself...However,
Just for today, I'm learning to appreciate and honor who I am. I'm learning that I am worthy to be here...To be seen and to be heard:)
