I know that Tim lives just about the next town over from me . . . *ponders*

I don't think I'd mind a whole bunch of y'all at one time. I mean, I have strong introverted and anti-social tendencies, but stick me in a roomful of nice people, and I can bet you that you won't be able to shut me up. :) Especially if I find someone with the same sorts of obsessions. :)

I think a lot of people who declare themselves \"a /anti social\" could be convinced otherwise, by meeting people that would except them just the way they are.

As (hopefully) a future Seattleite, that sounds like fun.

Too far away for me I'm afraid. Unless you can get outside Scumchester?

scumchester?! 8)

Not all of it is scum,it's a decent place, can't say the same about all people though.

Am would like to be able to go,but wouldn't be able to cope outside Manchester as am not used to any other place.
What part of Lancashire are in,Tequila?

Great-what things do like/are into?
Cannot think of ideas for meet up places though, need to know what everyone likes/has problems with etc first.

might be interesting, but I'm much better online than in person...;) I'd probably wind up observing everyone else to figure out if I'm like that..;) (I am)

Have to agree about Star Trek conventions. Definitely puts one in perspective after seeing one of those...;)

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I don't trust people when I go there. There are good people and bad people but it's quite a hole. IMO anyway. (Saying that though Preston is quite a hole too.)

Longridge, outside Preston. It's just in the Ribble Valley. Loads of nice countryside to see up here.

It's a nice thing to see Aspies wanting to meet each other though.

Hell. I'd just like to meet anyone with AS. I've never run across someone with it thus far.

I don't know what everyone else would like doing, but I'm personally into things such as going to concerts (I was in Manchester last night actually, seeing War of the Worlds live :) ), plays, and the cinema. I'm not sure if others here would be okay with the general noisiness of such things though, although they would perhaps be good things to do for people to hang out together without having to worry about keeping the conversations going.

I live in the western United States. I've met people with Down Syndrome, severely autistic people, and plenty of people with ADHD, but I still haven't met someone with AS, or anyone exhibiting AS characteristics.

Where is everyone from? I didn't read all the posts on this thread yet. Is there a list that shows generally where a person lives? Or support group requests for certain areas somewhere?

thanks
