They could make megabucks off it. In America, government supports industry. Some guy somewhere in the US would want to profit off the ET craze. Not the movie version, the real life one, even though the movie would benefit too from all the publicity. It could shape an entire century.

I think that the fact that McKInnon has repeatedly mentioned a document named 'extra terrestrial officers' and sticks with it too, is worth not tossing away as nonsense.

Good point. Maybe NASA keeps it hush-hush because the ET is a female and would become an instant sex symbol. Human women would be too jealous and not be able to handle losing some ego.

They screwed up at Roswell, not us, we just picked up the pieces, just as we would do with any air accident. We took one alive with an arm broken in two places.

They got him back, but the secret was out, so we made a deal, limited technological development, and some outside oversight.

The extra terrestrial training base on the far side of the Moon is for their comfort, we are a high gravity world, it gives them problems.

We are in their sector, they are not the only intelligent species out there, our thinking is primitive, we would not stand a chance alone.

Setting off the bomb was the big bell, now heard for sixty light years out. We have quit doing that, which shows we are intelligent, or dead, it would be best if we were thought dead.

Radio waves are feeble, but show lifesign, do you think we thought up fiber optic?

We put up with the Gray Technology Anthropoligists, or we face something worse than the Borg.

We really don't have anything to do with what goes on out there. We are like a dog watching jets at an airport. Our technology, and mostly our thought, will keep us at the pet level for hundreds of years.

They do get pick of the litter and have established breeding colonies on other worlds, a favorite zoo exhibit. The way we live, it is the best hope for species survival.

Most of their technology goes over our heads, but sometimes we do catch a frisbee. Still have not learned to throw it, but we are "Good Boys".

They also have a very different view of economics, adjustments are being made.

It's a bible for the ET age. First Contact. Won't it be a biblical experience? When mankind touches hands with a messianic ET representing an advanced civilization, for the first time? It will make more of an impression than Jesus and the dawn of the Aquarian age will truly commence.

The kid is a burgular. Period. I feel bad for the guy. I really do. I feel pity for him just like I would feel pity toward a neighbor who got caught in the same situation, but he commited burgulary. If I counted him a friend, which I don't, I'd help with his legal expenses if I could, whether he'd hacked a computer or broken into some guy's house. Nonetheless, he is a burgular.

That said, seventy years is ridiculous. The judge should cut him a break. It's not like he's working for al Queda or something. Either way, I suggest he read some Plato while he's in the coop.

Sting told The Mail on Sunday: ‘It’s a travesty of human rights that Gary McKinnon finds himself in this dreadful situation.

‘The US response in relation to the true nature of Gary’s crime is disproportionate in the extreme. Gary is even contemplating suicide because of his fear of incarceration as a terrorist in a US jail.

‘The British Government is prepared to hand over this vulnerable man without reviewing the evidence.’

Sting pointed out that Mr McKinnon faces extradition under an Extradition Act signed by Britain but not Washington – which means Britain does not have reciprocal rights.

Prof Simon Baron-Cohen, director of the Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University, also backs Mr McKinnon. He said: ‘He should be tried in the UK and not treated as a terrorist but as a man with a social disability.’

McKinnon – who is also being supported by London Mayor Boris Johnson – is living in his home in Wood Green, North London, until the final decision is made.

His mother Janis Sharp, said: ‘I’m heartbroken at the lack of compassion shown towards my son.

‘Somebody, somewhere please wake up and realise the extradition of even one vulnerable person cannot be a price worth paying to save the US’s embarrassment.’

Well, after all the Bible (OT) is a compendium of older myths and stories all jumbled together and largely obfuscated.

Though there may well be some errors in it Ring of Power is nevertheless worth watching on Google but it is about 4 hours long in entirety.

Hyksos and all that. Considering all that blather afforementioned 'first contact' might be a little off mark - perhaps.

'It's a bible for the ET age' - it's definitely a worry that that may be the intention for the next age as the veil/curtain on the stage goes up once more.

Yeah, its okay to let people speak for themselves, too. You might well be mistaken; Inventor gave no indication he had any idea what he/she is talking about.

Actually, a lot of computer systems are designed and/or setup by IDIOTS! When DEC released their Vax in the 80s, they FORCED a "default" password. It was that way for about a DECADE! MOST companies NEVER changed it, or even knew it was there! Ironically, the VAX had a neat feature to limit even breakin ATTEMPTS and almost NOBODY ever used it! The AVERAGE computer would ECHO info sent, display banners, etc.... Most STILL DO! They have been since they were FIRST CREATED! Sounds logical, right? THAT is the problem. The vax had an ability to get the vax to doo NOTHING!! !! !! That's right, NOTHING! NO banners, NO echo, etc.... UNTIL a user selected password was typed in.

MOST systems responded, so you knew they were there, and what type of system they were. Type the vax default password into the vax system, and there was a 90% chance you could be IN! With the VAX with the access password, you could try all day to break it wondering if there was even a computer on the other side! Neat trick, and STILL ****RARELY**** used, but nobody really used it.

If he really wanted to get out of it, he could always try to find a way to either get refugee status in Canada, or get tried in a Canadian court. Most he could get here is 25 years. Of course I would still give him the 25 years just because what he did was a serious offence. I'd like to know how he did it, offer him a deal that would dramativly cut the jail time just to find out.

Doesn't UK law or UN human rights say something about you're not allowed to send someone to an other country for prosecution if there's reason to suspect it won't be a fair trial?
And to be quite honest with ourselves, it won't be, they'll put him away for the longest time possible. Amercian paranoia will see to that quite well.
