Definitely the one where {insert name here} says Alex Plank doesn't have AS because I said so. That thread went on for quite some time, to my amusement.

It's fun being the bad guy (even though you actually aren't, but you know).

that one was also a very regular topic at the old autism speaks forum, from people who have never met Alex.
Users can get very judgemental of other users experiences' and see themselves or their children as the default standard to judge a condition on.

Oh dear ! I was hoping that I could make such a witty reply before someone who else who is in good standing here could get that remark in. But back to the serious side, I am unable to choose my favourite thread becuase there are so many good ones here.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

Thanks for the link. I read some of the original Dino Cafe thread, so I know what this is referring to. Only one link so far, but this one would keep me busy reading it for quite a while! The original Dino Cafe thread was the biggest I had run across. This one might be as long.. I can't remember how big the original was.

Thanks, everyone for the responses.

The Mummy Thread was started by a very cool member here shortly after I joined and had excellent support from MissConstrue and poopylungstuffing among others. It would be a good one to give some tanna leaves to!

Dear People Who Are In The Elevator With Me. It often features people who never seem to post in any other thread, strangely enough, like the fabulously named "Whiskery Beast".

Rants is another goodie.
