I don't know if it's an Aspie thing or not, but I've never been able to manage goals. I don't even bother with long term goals because I know I won't be able to make myself meet them. They just seem sooooooooooo far off and the process of reaching them just seems unbearably overwhelming.

Yes, but because of ADHD.

I need small steps to success, no long-term-far-away goals. Everything needs to be cut into tiny steps for me/I do this myself in order to cope with my AD(H)D as well as I can.

i have my dreams, i simply follow them and they all keep coming true. sometimes it takes years, if they are big, but they do come true eventually. very systematically, step by step, i go after what i want.

I've had the goal for the past 2 months of stopping smoking and avoiding sweets. I haven't been able to do either consistently yet. It isn't like me. I've had determination and motivation before. I don't know why I cannot achieve my goals this time, except for anxiety.
