To be honest I dont have a good idea of what the norm would be... how does the average person understand and think about social situations and how does aspie thinking compare to that?

Does anyone feel comfortable giving a specific example of what you might be thinking in a social situation and if anyone knows what the norm might be can you give me some insight? (Any idea what specific things you may not be picking up on? Any examples?)

I feel like I can relate to what Im reading about aspergers but I dont know how to judge where the extremes are, where to place myself, and how to decide whether or not this really applies to me.

I really feel like it does, but Im pretty sure I need some comparison to have any kind of idea about whether or not this might be true.

Anyone have any ideas or want to share? Answering any of these questions would be very helpful :)

They are distinctly different from neurotypical thoughts

And yet they are the same

I think I, personally, make extremely different connections and associations in my thoughts than most people I know. I associate people with colours (not skin colours, but just... colours) or sounds, I associate feelings I cannot describe with images or sceneries consisting of a vast array of different objects and lighting.

You and I can relate. I will be writing about this.
