Agreed. I can say this is the first forum I've ever time into. I enjoy hearing from like minded people - I used to think I was the only one "like this"

Feeling like another species is a common trait for us, hence the colloquialism of Aspergers as "Wrong Planet Syndrome". What this forum is to me is that I have been an alien on another planet, and I may have found my own kind, after 30 years of searching. I have enough abandonment issues that it worries me that I feel that way. But I am still very glad I found this place, whether it's for a short or a long time. Maybe we aren't close enough to be called a family, I wouldn't know, but I do feel a little less alone. So, I thank you /bow

Thanks to all who help make this forum possible! It's given me self-knowledge, and while this isn't always easy, I wouldn't want to miss it for the world. It's also helped me disentangle my CP (cerebral palsy) issues from my (possible) Asperger symptoms. This is really quite useful, since CP alone by no means explains my extreme social awkwardness and other strange behaviors.

This is about the only place I have ever been where I did not get shunned or even banned just for trying to be myself!

I confess I also love this forum. I cant help coming here.
I often do work on the computer that require me to think a lot and to take desitions around diffrent issues.
Then it feels so incredible relaxing to come to this forum to just have fun, talk to others without having to think of what I say and how, just to be the truly myself!
