I have a very low threshold for patience it seems, when I'm asking somebody to do something that seems extremely simple.

It makes me anxious, it makes me just want to break down and cry.

It would be different if I was asking things that people don't understand how to do, but it's not. It's simple stuff, that they know exactly how to do and all... but just don't find it important.

My problem currently... well, I have 2 problems. My kiddos won't listen to me for anything. They start playing and goofing off and being loud, while I'm trying to be focused on what needs to be done. Then they start with excuses. I can't help it-I just scream after a while.

Lady at DFS is yelling at me when I go in there to get on SSI... I don't even know where to start with it and don't know anyone who will help me with it. Doesn't effect their lives, I guess, so why should they? Makes me mad that they all want to pretend to be supportive and tell me they know how to go about it and will help me "one day". All I'm asking for, is someone to just ride over there with me and help me, because I delay going in to reapply for things because I just know she is just gonna scream at me again until I can get this done... last time I was supposed to reapply was 2 weeks ago... I still haven't gone in, because I get overwhelmed by it before I even drive over there-I just break down because I know I'm going to be berrated for it, and they don't care that I need help to get it done.

I swear... lately, I've been snapping at everyone. I'm so sick of doing everything alone, of trying to have to figure it out alone, while everyone else tells me they know how to do this or that and just won't bother to tell me. I'm tired of my house being a wreck and having just absolutely no help....

Anyone else have days/weeks like this, where they just can't stand to be around people, no matter who those people might be?

You're under so much stress - is there any way for someone to take the kids for a few days? Or maybe come help you around the house for an hour or so? I don't know your financial status, but if money's an issue maybe you could barter. I know this seems like a stretch, but if you're alone without friends or family, maybe you could call your local school for some ideas. In my school, there are certain clubs that do community service type things - sometimes as simple as visiting the elderly. You could even hire a teenager to watch the kids for a few hours or clean the house. Whatever you do, it sounds like you need someone to step in for a minute and let you catch your breath.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your thoughts on it. Yes, I need a break... I need help at least, lol. But, it doesn't always get here when things get this crazy... I don't have anyone near us to take the kids for a few days or anything like that. (ARG! My a/c seems to have crapped out as well... house is now super stuffy)

I think it's extra hectic right now, because my son just started MAP testing in his school... so he has a tremendous amount of extra energy and stress in class as well due to it. This is going to go on for 2 weeks... how great is that? /sarcasm

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I'm not sure what to do... I know we'll get through it, we always do, and there always seem to be days here and there that are like this... just at the time, it feels like it's ALWAYS like this, even though, I know it's not.

I really hate it when emotions take over. It just makes things feel that much more chaotic, and that much harder to keep control of the situation.
