Looks like spectrum behaviour to me.

In a way I feel bad about pointing out this video - showing this poor boy not at his best - but it's useful to us (rather like those cruel 'Pathetic Geek Stories' cartoons were): shows how our meltdowns look to NTs (and what some evil NTs may try to set off in us for some 'live theatre').

If there had been home computers when I was a kid this would have been me.

So if you feel a meltdown coming on, wait until you know you're alone. And please, turn off your webcam! (LOL.)

It is human to have anger.

I found it quite disturbing watching this, I must say. Frightening, in my opinion.

That was me on our christmas tree - When I was 18.

The kid strikes me as having either (or both) anger and frustration management problems. I don't see that either of the above necessarily means that he has AS. Whilst a tendancy to become frustrated easily is a hallmark of AS, I don't believe the other way around is necessarily true.

I found watching the video disturbing. I hope that whatever help the kid needs, he gets.

I saw too much of me in there but I only seem to do that when my parents ARENT around.

I must admit I saw a lot of myself in that video, too. I am not proud to admit it but I have a terrible temper due to my very low threshold for frustration. Whilst I agree with SC that all people have anger, controlling this anger is a vital life skill. I regret to say that even at the age of nearly 40, I still have not learned this.

I have always frustrated easily too. Then again when I was in public schools the teachers would get frustrated around me and then take it out on me so I learned frustration early.

On that subject, one has to wonder how many "abnormal" behaviours in children are learned from the very people who are supposed to be instilling constructive behaviours in them.

That is a good question buddy for sure.

If the theory of learned behaviours holds up then I reckon that a lot of my less desireable traits can be traced back to my parents and educators.

Although I can get very tense and anxious at times, I'm always very controlled; I never fly off the handle like that.

Funny you mention anxiety. I tend to have a degree of anxiety all the time and I have conversed with other Aspies who are the same. As far as temper goes, I would like to be more controlled but occasionally frustration just gets the better of me.
