Extreme sensitivity to light touch seems to be a very common motif here. Even I find it highly creepy when I receive unexpected light touch, especially from someone I don't know/don't trust.

When it's received from someone I care deeply about, and know it's coming, it's a lot different. The hypersensitivity is still there, except that it feels REALLY good. It's almost addictive. It's as if all my problems vanish and I'm walking on clouds. I'm finding that on those times I am in a relationship, I want nothing more than to feel my partner's hands rubbing against my skin.

Is this common, or am I the only one experiencing it? I'm really hoping that I'm not the only one who goes completely giddy in this situation.

I've never had that level of emotional intimacy and trust(I'm assuming sensual) , so idk maybe in some situations I might react differently.

Oh I love it when hubby rubs my back real light with his fingertips. It's the best feeling ever. I actually love that touch most anywhere on the body, but it's not a sexual thing no matter where it is. It's more a calming thing, like rubbing a child's back or something.

No, I like deep pressure touching. Although I won't let just anyone touch me.

Yes, I hate light touch, especially unexpected, and from a stranger. Such as being brushed into, while standing in line at a store or something. Or, those annoying people who like to tap you lightly while conversing.

No, you are not the only one! I love when my S.O rubs his hands on my back. It is so comforting, even grounding! I also love when he holds my hand while watching movies together. And yes, I am hyper aware of this touch, but that is what makes it so pleasant. It is as if all my senses come to attention, in a pleasant way, when he touches me.
