I know that this is a very negative subject (and it's most likely one that'll got quite a few responces) but how many of you have tried to kill themselves?

Maybe You've known someone who's already done this, or maybe you are planning to do this, mabe you are even planning to do this cos you are sick of life believe that you'll get to a better place.

This is a case that I'm sure that many of you would have come across others who don't want you to do this (as they say) they'll 'miss you' convenatly forgetting that they know full well that you'll be in the afterlife and that they'll only have to die in order to see you once more.

So what is your stance on it?

I've got to go now, but I'll come back with some more later.

Goodbye till next time

I've neve rundertaken an actual attempt, but was close enough once in 2007 to require hospitalization, and have thought of suicide a few times since, most recetnly the last few days (don't worry, I know I won't be able to carry out a successful attempt).- For me, I mostly get suicidal when my overload and/or anxiety are really, really bad.

I wouldn't say that I'm suicidal, but there were times in which I pondered over what it would be like if I did commit suicide, and then I'd get a little depressed over the thought of how my family would react to my suicide.

I used to have a habit of cutting myself at times of frustration or anxiety. I've pretty much outgrown that, but there have been times recently when I experienced such intense frustration that my cutting habits briefly resurfaced. I hardly ever do it anymore, though.

People will miss you period. You may not understand that but it does happen.

I started attempting suicide when I was 8 (very lame attempts even to date). It's started with simply trying to bust my head open hitting it against walls, desks or whatever else. I graduated to crushing my wind pipe, planning to jump off bridges, light myself on fire and at one time I held a gun to my head.

That being said I hate suicide though I highly recommend it for murderers, pedophiles, rapists or anyone else who clogs up our prison system becoming a drain on society via heinous criminal means.

I've had thoughts of just blowing the rest of my savings on a revolver, loading it with a single bullet and pulling the trigger, but these thoughts were usually the result of being under a lot of stress at work or elsewhere.

Glad to say that I've made no actual attempts but can't say that it doesn't cross my mind every once in a while. I think about others around me who are able to live socially and financially enriching lives with little effort and how I've given up on trying to make any kind of social contact due to repeated failure or what I feel is repeated failure due to little effort on my part. The less I think about it though, the less likely I am to go all depressive during the middle of my shift and screw things up, so I just try not to.

I haven't, though I had many times when I wished I was dead. I don't have the nerve to kill myself. Nowadays my depression is gone, so I haven't wished for my own demise in quite a while.

When I was most suicidal in 2007, I was unable to think of what effect it would have on others, and I didn't think anyone would miss me at all. Indeed, all I got from my family was how much I'd burden them with the funeral etc., so I still don't think they'd miss me if I died. My boyfriend, but even now (not as suicidal as I was in 2007), I find it hard to think of that.

Same deal here, I should have elaborated more in my first post but I find that the idea of an unsuccessful suicide attempt where body parts end up broken or paralyzed or in some way would manage to make my life even worse (and in the case of complete paralysis, impossible to end). You learn more about yourself pointing a loaded gun at your head than any single moment of your life (at least in my case). Just feeling how much power and control you have over your own life and being frightened by it despite how much you want it.

I decided that I would rather go out on top then when I'm depressed. So when I'm as rich as Howard Hughes and I have a harrem of woman at my lesure. You might see me testing my new lightspeed rocket to fly through a blackhole to see what's on the other side.

If I were to carry out a successful attempt, it would need to be something quick and painless. If I'm going to end suffering that my mind has tricked me into believing, it should be just that with no in between. No, I don't want to wake up a vegetable for the rest of my life, short a limb or two, none of that....that would be a failure in my book and one that speaks more than anything else I could achieve with an active heart pulse.

Just finish myself off without physically hurting anyone else, the equally devastating emotional anguish my family will have to put up with will come later. That takes a lot of nerve, to be able to just stand there and kill yourself be it alone or with witnesses present, and I'm not talking about the kind of nerve that could be mustered with mind altering drugs, that's too easy.

This is where I differ from a lot of people. Quick and painless goes too quickly. I would want to feel my life fade giving myself time to enjoy knowing that I did it successfully not that it really matters. Put a smile on my face and cease to exist.

My special intrests keep me going. I cannot wait to see what types of new information will become available. I do not want to miss out when something intresting becomes available. Anything stop-motion, new horror films, and survival related is pretty much keeping me intrested in life. 8) Think of all the things you would miss out on.

A long time ago. Now, I can't even consider it because (a) I have children and I can't do that to them and (b) the idea of failing and ending up a vegetable is scarier than either succeeding or continuing the way things are.
