Do you call your dog other names other than what they are?? I have a dog named "Lucy" and I either call her "Conan", "Nanna", "rumpa bump", "isy" (ee sy) I don't know if this would apply to most autistics, or if I am completely crazy.

My dogs calm me down when I am either sad or lonely; I just love on them, and most of the time I feel better. If I am really out of it, I will stay agitated until I take a nap or do other things which are therapeutic in a way.

My senior cat is Senator Dufus Claudius Felis, calling name "Dufus." I also call him Dude, CatFink, Don Gato, Senor el Gato, and many other names. His brother Spot is also Baby Cats, Fur Face, Purry Faws (joke - Furry Paws), and Aineko (because sometimes he looks like something from a Japanese painting.

My best friend calls Dufus "Senex" and Spot "Sputum."

We call our cat different names but she still seems to know that we are talking to her - maybe it is the tone of voice or something. She will answer to Lance, lancey, chubbs, chubbins, who's a pretty girl, ms. mousington.

My cat's name is Toby. My husband and I call him Kitty, The Kitty, The Cat, and That Cat (when he's being bad). My sister who lives with us doesn't like Toby, and she calls him Fat Cat or Snottypuss. My sister's cat Zoe also lives with us and we call her The Cute One.

I used to periodicly give my dog a new name.
Started with Sheila her original name.
Than Mutley from that cartoon on TV.
Because she always emptyd trashcans she got the new nickname of RAT.

But now since shes over 10 i often call her granny.
Although she still often seems as wild as a puppy.
But she has to be sure now if anything good is gonna happen or she won't get off her lazy ass nemore.
