How good or average or bad were you at the game Charades?

and why?

i love charades! i think i was quite good at the guessing part because im good at tracing peoples thoughts backwards to work out where they originated from. its been a while though....

I HATE charades.... At least the "performing" part...

Whenever it's come up I've always flat out refused to participate. And not always politely..! I can come off as very angry and abrupt when I'm scared..

Anyway, only good experience I've had with charades was once with my family. Someone proposed it, we split into two teams, and I asked to please not have to act anything out.

One of my cousins was pretty nasty about it, but luckily my uncle stepped in and said that since I clearly was uncomfortable with it of course I could just guess and not act.
I was HIS team member anyway, and he didn't mind, thank you very much.

He's always been my favorite uncle, can't you tell..?

Anyway.... I guess that was my point. I mostly hate charades

Edit: Oh, sorry, totally forgot to answer your questions... The performing part, don't know since I try to avoid it. Usually that excludes me from the game entirely.
I sometimes watch anyway though, and I think it is interesting to watch, if only to see whether people "get" each other.
They usually don't, and then it's fun to follow the conversations afterwards, the things like "why on earth would you do THIS to try to convey THAT", or "How was I supposed to know that you meant THAT when you did THIS".

I think I did a fair job guessing when I was allowed to guess only, since I could sit in peace and just feed observations and the occasional brainwave to my uncle.
It was tiring though, since I really put the little grey ones to use, getting an initial impression, or no impression at all, and comparing that to the "database" to find similarities and possible meanings, and cross comparing that to how I knew the person and how they were likely to think, apart from my cousin's new girlfriend, which I didn't know. She I couldn't read at all..!

I love charades. I love watching people do their performances. It's funny when somebody has to act like a can opener.
