This isn't the usual which are good topic I know the Tony Attwood stuff is good from what I read here on WP so I'm considering 2 of his books. I would use the library but since I live in a small town I can't get them. I'm thinking of buying them but was my question was are the books anything new? or is it mainly stuff you can find on the web? (I know there's some program to download books but I don't want to download 50 different programs and clog up my HDD) (I'm using this laptop for college I need it to last!) :-)

Actually, your local library will be able to get the books for you via interlibrary loan. You may be able to make the request on the library's website (a request form or email contact or something like that) and it should be free of charge. It may take a week or two but when they receive the book from another library they'll contact you to say it's in, and you just go pick it up.

I just bought Tony Attwood's "The Complete Guide to Asperger's syndrome" (cover price $24.95), after asking which books people recommended. I have not read it yet (it just arrived), but I find that there is something very positive in handling a real paper book, with a bookmark and little sticky notes over the interesting bits. I love the internet for quick fact-finding, but not for comprehensive learning.

The Tony Attwood book is very thorough I think. Written very well too. I think it is more in depth than anything you can find on the internet.

I am also looking to buy - "A different kind of normal." by Jeanette Purkis.

I am also thinking of writing a book myself about AS (especially how it affects you in the workplace)
