I have always sucked when it comes to throwing stuff.
During PE in school, there were girls that could throw a ball 40 to 50 meters, not to mention the guys.
I could never get a ball beyond 20 meters, it seemed, and just today, I measured out 30 long paces on the ground and that was about as far as I could throw, which is better than when I were young, but still just pathetic.
I'm beginning to think that it has something to do with my condition, lousy coordination, because I have always been very clumsy (just the other night I accidentally stabbed myself in the knee while carving wood) and used to walk "like Jaques Tati" as my parents used to say.
It must be something I'm doing wrong, and of course no one have ever taught me because that's a thing that you learn automatically, isn't it?

Have anyone else had this problem?

I can't throw either. Used to be laughing stock at school. I think my underarm throw is further than my overarm

50 meters! Would this be a baseball or a football? If this was a football, for someone in high school, especially a girl, that would be in the top 1 percentile of all people. The longest I've ever seen someone throw a football would be about 55 meters, and this was a quarterback with one heck of an arm.

I think you're being too hard on yourself. We all have our moments. I've seen NT's do stupid things with box cutters.

I for one played baseball and basketball in my school years, and never had any problems...I seem to be the exception here in that regard. :?

I never had a problem throwing a ball. I tended to throw farther than most in my class, though most in my class had some sort of developmental or emotional disability, but I don't know if that matters ...

I have trouble catching a ball. Just can't see to keep my eye on it, and I miss it more often than not. I thus despise most sports where catching a ball is involved.

I have always had trouble catching a ball. I usually avoid any sport that involves catching (and throwing) balls. Howerver, I have always enjoyed the plesure of participating in a game of volleyball.

catching and throwing are skill i do not have, but i am better than i use to be. Even now when it come to rounders and i must throw the ball it all goes pear shaped on me, can't ever seem to be able to throw it, my underarm is far better than my overarm.

A tennis ball, sort of.
There was a girl that could throw it all over the short side of a football field, which is about 50 meters.
Even some of the least athletic people in my class could throw farther than me. I just never got the technique, I guess.

Catching things is different, though. I can catch just about anything smaller than a cow, most often colds, though.
I can juggle and do some basic juggling tricks. I can even keep a football airbourne for around 10 kicks if I'm lucky.
But I just can't seem to throw stuff correctly.... :x

ah, the footbal thing, never really got my head around that one, and in the KU footbal is the big thing. when it came to PE i was always the last one picked, and often i would be put with a team in footbal. i got ok in gal though, but not wanting the ball to hurt did put me out quiet a bit, all the time i have had a ball thrown at my face still sting a litte.

oo, I know what it feels like. I was (still am) always picked last for any sport involving a ball. I also get accused for beeing afraid of the ball (I'm not actually AFRAID of it, just don't want it to hit me. I've been injured multiple times when it comes to sports involving any kind of ball handling skills. I just can't seem to coordinate ball with hand/foot and run around other people at the same time. I always try to avoid these situations. Everybody cheering and yelling and screaming, and the constant patting on the back, and all those people. Oh my, I can't stand sports. Well, most sports.)

I was often picked last. But one day I decided to specialize myself playing back defender, because I didn't run very well, and it turned out I was quite good at standing in peoples way. :)
After that, there were acctually some people who saw my value and picked my among the first.

wow, I think I'll try that sometime. :D I usually tune out in one way or another when participating in sports, so that, I reckon, will probably work.
