How about being diagnosed with a disability or cancer? It's doesn't apply to everyone, but that's definitely life changing.

The only two major life events I have waiting for me is retirement and death? Doesn't sound very uplifting to me, heheh..

Wait, was marriage on the list..? If so ( I don't remember) I at least haven't done THAT yet, that might have a chance of turning out good, assuming I get to where that might be a possibility in the first place... :)

And yes, disability and life threatening illnesses is undoubtedly major life changing events...

I suppose they're not included because most people don't experience them.

Personally I wasn't exactly a happy camper OR a happy 24 year old when I was told I had arthritis.....!
