Hi, I posted these test results on the Getting To Know People forum as a way of introducing myself and I think it would have been better to post them here to get better responses o_o;;

The Broad Autism Phenotype Test:

Autistic/BAP
You scored 124 aloof, 106 rigid and 116 pragmatic

The Autistic Spectrum Quotient:

Score: 35

Systemizing and Empathizing quotient:

Your Score 16 71 Extreme Systemizing

Emotional Intelligence:

Self-report Component
Subscale IQ score = 55
Subscale percentile = 0.13 (very poor)

Highly sensitive person test:

You have indicated that 25 of the items are true of you.

Reading the mind in the eyes test:

Your score: 24

Face Memory test: -- the only normal test result i got!

Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 65.
In other words, you got 90% correct.

Aspie quiz:

Your Aspie score: 155 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 60 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Does anyone know how to go about getting diagnosed professionally in the UK? Do I just go to my GP? I've heard a lot about GPs being dismissive ._.
One of my friends seems to be getting upset at me discussing this with him, and he keeps asking why I want to know if I have it, since it won't change me. I think maybe he just doesn't want to see me as autistic. Or he thinks i'm being a hypochondriac -_-. He thought that when I thought I had a blood clot in my leg, and turns out I did have one ^_^ but in all seriousness... if I do go ahead and get diagnosed with something such as Aspergers Syndrome... I'm gonna get rejected by a lot of people aren't I -.-

Only by the folks who don't understand what it is... so yeah. A lot.
Honestly, around here I had to FIGHT with the gp to get a referral to a shrink.
When you go in, be prepared for them to dismiss your concerns. They hate self diagnosers.
Trick is to sit there and say "but i want to know whats wrong with my head" until he gives in.
Then repeat the act in two other doctors' offices to ensure at least one of them does it.

I would up with one ignoring me, one referral for AS and one referral for anxiety (wrong!)

Your friend is right, unless you want services or are in doubt over it it's pointless to waste money on a diagnosis.

I'm sorry if this doesn't help, but it seems to me that it's more like a personality trait...I'm sick, and I can't function today, sorry...
